Sega Toys Brain Checker keeps you on your toes
Though we don't believe this to be one of those "mind-controlled tech toys" Sega Toys was working on, it's pretty evident that it will give your mind a workout. From what we can tell, the Brain Checker is a standalone gizmo designed to stretch your mental muscles with a myriad puzzles, but most everything beyond that is lost in translation. We do know, however, that it can be had in Japan for around ¥5,775 ($51), but who knows if it'll make it's way to any other corners of the globe.[Via Technabob]

Hey engadget! How about getting editors who can actually correctly speak the English language? Besides the occasional typo or poorly formulated sentence, this is the third time within a week or so that the word "myriad" has been used incorrectly. Its either a noun, as in "a myriad of..." (in this case, a myriad of puzzles) or its an adjective, as in "myriad..." (in this case, myriad puzzles). But there is no "a myriad puzzles." Either get rid of the "a" or add an "of." Reading this blog is sometimes worse than reading random forum posts.

In any case, the Japanese site says it will 'Draw out your brain type, and improve on its weaknesses with 16 types of training'. Myriad is certainly the wrong word choice, as the number of tests is neither 10,000 nor some unspecified large number.

I agree. Although you could cool down a bit. It isn't as simple as you think, editing so many posts a day & still maintaining the quality we have here at Engadget.

dear engadget, it would be beneficiary if you could just shed more light on the workings of the aforementioned gadget. honestly i've no idea how this gizmo works.

I doubt it will come over here because Americans don't like to be reminded how stupid they really are. :D

Brain Checker is a 'Dr. Itami' product by Human Code Japan. It is slated by SEGA to be released in the US. I received one from Dr. Itami himself when in Japan a week ago-- and it's pretty cool. No Japanese needed to operate.

Sorry, but this isn't just some guys little Blog, but a fairly widely read Blog that also has incoming ad revenue. No excuses. Have people proofread the posts first before putting them up. It adds to the professional appearance, which in turn is attractive to advertisers, and keeps picky readers happy. I would gladly make my self available for proofreading and editing services on all posts for a small monthly fee ;)
