Vodafone's 2008 roadmap gets outed, new BlackBerry included
Boy Genius Report has seemingly scooped up a healthy portion of Voda's '08 roadmap here, and with it a host of unannounced devices from various manufacturers. Here's one we kinda expected at this point: a new BlackBerry previously spotted via a shady eBay auction, once thought to be a member of the upcoming 9000 series but identified here as an "8XXX" -- in other words, either RIM or Voda hasn't quite decided yet how to shoehorn it into the 8000 series lineup. Projected launch (on Voda, anyway -- other carriers may vary) is May of this year, bringing quadband EDGE, triband 3.6Mbps HSDPA, a 480 x 320 display, 2 megapixel cam, GPS, WiFi, and a whoppin' 624MHz core to "senior executives" across the land (Vodafone's words, not ours). These guys are getting better at making slick looking devices with every iteration, are they not?

Acting like a snob and calling people poor just because they prefer to use different tech than you is really classy. Really...way to go.
BTW...How much did your mom pay for your iPhone?
It looks like it has the same frame as the iPhone. I hate the iPhone's frame.
...Because as everyone knows; every single black/silver device with rounded corners is a rip-off of the iPhone
looks pretty decent imo
i dont think he meant it like that, he actually said we hates it, every one is so quick to bitch on here, why can we all just get along ;)
bob, now where would the fun in that be?
hey, michael read it over a few times and then try to find out what i meant i know its hard but you can do it if you truly believe!
I never said the frame is a rip-off of the iPhone, it just resembles it and it probably sucks like it.
I guess this place has been flooded with so many iPhone-lovers and haters that everyone immediately assumes someone is one of them.
They have come a long way since the old calculator-phones.
Still, nothing beats playing snake on those old Nokias with the interchangeable faceplates
Wow, i love it! I was thinking of getting a blackberry curve, but this thing looks really nice. May is also the time when my current cell phone plan will be up so its good timing.
These blackberrys are so much better than iphones, i dont understand all the hype about iphone, considering its touch interface and digital qwerty keyboard is the worst typing experience of any phone available on the market.
you're an idiot. You've probably never even touched an iphone. Just cause you can't afford it doesnt mean it sucks. It just means you're poor. I've typed this on my iPhone in which I promise I could type faster on this then you could on any device.
now you are just talking out of your ass... you are not typing faster on an iphone then a blackberry (which YOU have probably never used)

Elitist much? Even "poor" people can touch the iPhone for free at any Apple store. Or they can use one of their "rich" friend's iPhone. By the way, while the iPhone is not inexpensive, there are still more expensive phones out there (e.g., the Nokia N95 8GB is about twice as expensive as iPhone).
After using the Safari and iPod apps on an iPhone, I think the reverse about Blackberries. Great for corporate email and that's about it!
If it is as solid and thin as an iPhone, this just got MUCH sexier!
