LG's P300 U 13.3-inch laptop headed for the States
Sure, those models might look Korean, but this laptop is headed for the US of A in 2008. We spotted it last month in its native habitat, but LG just announced that the P300 U will be coming our way this year at CES. The highlight of this skinny and light laptop is the 13.3-inch LED backlit screen, running at 1280 x 800 pixels, but the 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, 2GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M graphics, HDMI out, 1.3 megapixel webcam and built-in WWAN all pitch in to make this one attractive 3.5 pound portable. No word on price or exact availability just yet

This is what the Macbook *wants* to look like.
jaalin @ Jan 7th 2008 3:17AM
i read somewhere that these get dismal battery life - not surprising considering that components this thing uses, namely the 8600!
Tony @ Mar 6th 2008 4:07PM
Notebookreview.com just did a review of this thing, and they say it got 3 hours and 40 minutes of battery life. Not bad at all for having an 8600, actually.

I'll take the one on the right please.
As for the laptop, I like the weight. One more step in the UMPC direction.
ShaunAlfonso @ Jan 7th 2008 3:31AM
I think you mean left.
L.Cyphre @ Jan 7th 2008 3:34AM
No, I didn't mean Big Lips.
I meant right. Looks a bit more natural.
johnnychipface @ Jan 7th 2008 4:04AM
Lol! As if guys like you get to choose women. They're both sub standard anyhow, nowhere near as nice as http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/03/lg-philips-announces-14-3-inch-flexible-e-paper-display-for-ces/
L.Cyphre @ Jan 7th 2008 4:17AM
And *you* are different of course?
True though, the flexible girl is prettier.
And I still say she looks like Rie Tanaka.
johnnychipface @ Jan 7th 2008 4:56AM
I didn't really mean it, I was just trying to be funny whilst pointing out that the e-paper girl is super hot.
Jack @ Jan 7th 2008 7:09AM
hmm, one on the right is a bit risky, could be a trap
remember, when in doubt, it's a man...
L.Cyphre @ Jan 7th 2008 7:16AM
We're not in Thailand though.
Ed @ Jan 7th 2008 6:04PM
OCD guy notices the out-of-place icons before the women.
vagrantA @ Jan 7th 2008 3:27AM

R Cervantes @ Jan 7th 2008 4:08AM

Itchy Pajamas @ Jan 7th 2008 7:27AM
Everyone's starting to catch on to the "MacBook Pro" look. Time for Apple to move on, and show the industry what they should all aspire to next.
jd @ Jan 7th 2008 7:35AM
i have never seen any macbook pose with hot asian models.
i wonder how that feel...
locke6854 @ Jan 7th 2008 7:57AM
sure beats the girl from Sony's presentation. Man Sony, she was hideous. I've never seen an asian electronics model that wasnt cute until yesterday.
omf @ Jan 7th 2008 9:33AM
Either these women are tiny, or that's one seriously huge looking 13" laptop.
Blink @ Jan 7th 2008 11:49AM
they are only 4'5" with heels on.... ok so I'm guessing. but come on, that's a 13.3 in screen, they have to be short.
omf @ Jan 7th 2008 11:54AM
Those people make EVERYTHING small!
Sandeep @ Jan 7th 2008 11:28AM
That looks EXACTLY like a Dell XPS M1330...right down to the keyboard orientation and palm rest color.
shanoboy @ Jan 7th 2008 11:48AM
Those Asian models are so hot! I wish we had models for electronics here in the US.
omf @ Jan 7th 2008 11:55AM
The one holding the laptop looks like she's going to fall over...
