Steve Jobs is a scientologist. This is all just to serve a cult.
These things look great. I found this guide at http://www.Free-Macbook-Air.com to get a free one and I'm gonna do it. Anybody else gonna get theres free/cheap like that?
The Air is just a step that Apple is taking toward the new batteries coming out. The US Air Force announced in 2007 that it came out with a battery that uses a non nuclear decaying isotope to produce electricity, that will run a black box for an airplane (or laptop) for up to 20 years with no recharge. The technology is there, and they are prepping the market.
And as previously stated, this is not meant for those that are trying to create frankenmacs, but for those that use them for general home and work stuff.
I don't really care. If the battery goes kaput I am usually near an outlet.
What do you do buy a $1700+ dollar ultra portable computer, then you carry extra batteries around? Don't think so.
I ordered mine today. I will let you know in a year or so how the battery is making out. I bet i will have to replace then.
Cheers all!
which laptops do the brits make? if it wasnt for the idiot americans you idiots wouldnt even have computers!!
idiot
No replaceable battery isn't that bad, I'm sure you can just take it to the apple store and have them change it or send it in. I have an HP laptop with a "User" replaceable battery, and the battery just died. It costs $180 to replace and they still have to send it to me it's not like they have these batteries at fry's or best buy. I see it as they know this is a concern and therefore they have put an easily accessible program out that replaces batteries for $129 and the service is free too.
How 'bout a "plain" old MacBook or MacBook pro with a solid state drive?
I'd buy that in a heartbeat
