USB Aroma Radio almost smells as bad as the regular kind
If you're like us, you're sure to have fond memories of gathering around the radio in your jammies on Saturday morning and listening to the likes of Adventures in Odyssey and Life with Luigi; an experience that was only marred by the smell of your Dad's rotting stereo speakers. Maybe that was just us? Well, perhaps you can learn to commiserate with this USB Aroma Radio + Speaker from Brando. It sounds a lot like that Aroma Geur radio we saw a while back, only it's about $400 cheaper and probably much less likely to synchronize its aromas and LEDs to the music. You can also use the unit as a line-in speaker if you've had enough of radio -- and who hasn't.

That sounds pretty cynical. I don't know, maybe for some it's a good idea?

*playbacks farting sound over radio*

Wait, why does it smell like old man in here?
Oh, right, I'm listening to Dr. Demento.
Musiclifeson @ Jan 29th 2008 3:32PM
a Radio? why do you need an object solely for Radio? Radios come in everything now! My N800 has one and I didn't even know it had one till yesterday! that shows how cheap and small radios are.
ZeroCorpse @ Jan 29th 2008 3:40PM
Synchronize radio plays to it, and it would be kinda cool.
Of course, I rarely listen to the radio. Why would I let some dimwitted DJ (and his mega corporation) force-feed me a playlist of mediocre music when I can just listen to my own music collection on a PMP?
I wouldn't know what pop music is nowadays. I'm glad for that, because what I hear in passing is a lot of watered-down crap that-- if interpreted accurately- would likely make this Aroma Radio emit a stench like something between a landfill in summer and Britney Spears' crotch stank, with artificial sweetener over the top.

Listen to Butthole Surfers on Aroma Radio and then tell me it's a good idea.

Am I the only other one that remembers Adventures in Odyssey? I loved that show, so much good voice talent. Many of the actors do a lot of work elsewhere, I've heard them in everything from commercials to video game voiceovers, as well as a couple of current cartoon shows.

does anyone think it looks like the nuclear plant from the simpsons? http://capefeare.com/snpp.gif
Natedog @ Jan 29th 2008 7:52PM
Dear God, please tell me you're aware that all nuclear cooling stacks are shaped like that and not just the ones on the Simpsons.

So a company called "Smartech" came up with this idea?
Have they moved April Fool's day this year?
Onetruebill @ Jan 29th 2008 5:53PM
I was trying to think of something amusing...
But "SMARTECH" has me beat.
Fernando @ Jan 29th 2008 4:40PM
Rotting speakers? what?
cubiclegangsta @ Jan 29th 2008 5:09PM
Smells like teen spirit...
kal326 @ Jan 29th 2008 5:39PM
I wonder what aroma it emits if you play Yani? Better yet, I wonder if it smells like diesel fuel, dirt, and smoldering ties when you play Britney Spears?
ZeroCorpse @ Jan 30th 2008 6:36PM
My guess?
Spoiled fish.
