Also, as an amateur photographer this camera might be out of your price range. From what I have heard it's going to be priced at around 1k. I could be wrong about that, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Stay away from this one. Pick up the new canon rebel xsi. Interchangeable lenses are a must, they're what makes the camera worth buying. I'm a professional photographer BTW.

16.6 is the actual focal length. It's an APS-C sized sensor so the equivalent is around 28mm.
