Although laptop batteries aren't
catching fire nearly as frequently lately, every now and again one still seems to
spark off -- but LG wants you to know that its batteries are safe. The Korean mega-conglomerate said that it's wrapped up an investigation into reports that surfaced last month about an LG-sourced battery exploding in a reporter's laptop, and that it was apparently a freak accident. According to LG, "Under normal conditions, it is not possible for a notebook PC battery to combust." Uh,
sure it's not, guys -- you keep telling yourselves that, and we'll keep blogging in these goggles and red Nomex capes. Deal?
But will it bland?
your humore is bland
Tell that to my amputated leg and lawyer.
Well it's worth it since the lawyer was amputated along with the leg.
Don't joke about that. Are you serious? That's horrible.
I think you're lying though. Maybe I'm just gullible.
if you enjoy battery-powered underpants as much as i do, this is really good news.
i think it's wierd how these things never happen in the U.S. Or at least they aren't all over the news.
"...you keep telling yourselves that, and we'll keep blogging in these goggles and red Nomex capes. Deal?"
But the goggles--they do nothing!
verb+verb FTW
I'm flying Virgin America on Tuesday, primarily because they have 110v outlets at the seats. Seems like if laptop batteries are remotely unsafe, this is the real danger -- not poorly packaged Li-Ion batteries in carry-ons.
Hope my Thinkpad doesn't catch fire at 35kft.
Quickly to the high altitude balloon!
Wait..what?!? Nomex also comes in red?!? WANT!
No Mex for ANYBODY!
My eyes, the goggles do nothing!
Looks like you're 6 hours too late. You should really read the comments before you first, considering that there are only 11 there, as of right now.
"laptop batteries aren't getting catching fire"
...are not getting catching fire?! What exactly is that supposed to mean? :)
Fire good! Fire is our friend!
Rayovac is my favorite store which provides all kinds of batteries at discounted prices....
