iCinema and projectiondesign collaborate on panoramic displays
Oh sure, it's not like we haven't witnessed ginormous rotating panoramic displays before, but it seems as if projectiondesign and the iCinema Research Centre of Australia's University of New South Wales are taking their long-standing partnership even further with new applications for the AVIE 360-degree 3D multimedia display. Recently showcased at the International Sydney Festival, T_Visionarium will offer up "an all surrounding 3D spectacle of hundreds of video clips that the viewers can interactively sort and edit," and apparently, the duo is also gearing up to bring the somewhat similar iDome to various training facilities across New South Wales. Unfortunately, we have our doubts about such technology ever being home-bound -- for obvious reasons, of course.

And in other news, Apple sues iCinema and trademarks the letter i. English language to be rewritten.

Apple doesn't even own "i".
You've got iHome, iGoogle, iLike, and a bazillion other iMonikers that don't belong to Apple.
The "i" prefix, initially stood for "internet", though the iPod didn't really have internet capabilities besides iTunes. So now we've got tons of i prefixes that usually don't relate to the internet itself sadly.
So Apple doesn't own "i". Lots of companies use it, some do so sarcastically. Even Microsoft could pull an "i" out one of these days. Apple doesn't own it.

holy taken too seriously batman! Did you really think I was serious? Do you really think a company could do the BS I was spouting?

No. I was just saying, that's all. Calm down.

"e" was the prefix for internet. "i" was at first Apple's prefix.

Very much for industrial use. You should see what the intelligence community has access to, an entire room that is an interactive 3d Display. Literally the holodeck, except you stay in the middle of the room.

I've had a play with this thing, the best part was when windows crashed and all the fancy graphics was replaced by six overlaid XP desktops with error messages. That said, it is truely awesome.
