MSN Direct huh? So the unit's disabled until you use your Passport login? ;p
MSN Direct is really awesome. Have you actually used it lately? I bought one of the SPOT watches, and I get fast info. directly from my watch. So if I'm having this super long conversation with someone, and don't want to be rude and go away, I just fiddle around with my watch a bit.
And it's not Passport anymore. It's Live ID. And using your Live ID, it's easier to manager your content and have something for MS to save it to. So that the same content also works when you're using the real Internet.
I'm also guessing it's going to be good with these GPS devices that are rolling out lately.
