SE2 Labs' $25000 ITC One now shipping, with Blu-ray
It simply wouldn't do to ship a $25,000 everything-included box with an HD DVD drive after the format has been pronounced dead, leading SE2 Labs to swap out the HD DVD drive originally planned for the ITC One with Blu-ray. Apparently $25k isn't enough to buy an update to the website, which still lists HD DVD (or a Nintendo Wii) as the secondary drive option, but we're sure it'll all be sorted out by the time this 100 pound-plus integrated chassis (DVR, Xbox 360, Media Center and of course -- an iPod dock) has been delivered and hooked up to your HDTV.[Via CNET; warning .doc read link]

Whoever dreamed up this monstrosity must be insane. I could put together all this functionality easily for WELL under $10,000. $15,000 for packaging? Is their business plan to sell like three of these per year?
And what happens when the integrated Xbox360 gets the red ring of death? Yeah, it's happened to me. :(
Mr. E I respectfully disagree. You may be able to have the same functionality for under $10k but not the sum of it's actual parts. Icepower amps, Bryston pre/pro, AMX control system + remote is probably at least that much or more. Plus they have to recover their R&D costs and putting the thing together and supporting it. It's for custom installers that want to give their customers the best and when they are spending $500k for a home theater this is cheap and already put together.
wow! i guess they only need to sell one to become profitable!
Funny thing is this company is owned by a guy thats a complete con artist. What I don't get is what is the point of having your entire theater in one ugly box? If something breaks you can't just go out and replace that part you have to send this unit back for repair. Strange idea but I'm sure there is some sucker out there that will buy one. Poor sap!
