Nokia's N810 internet tablet gets a $90 price cut
If you've been looking for some kind of incentive to dip into the savings account and splurge on a new gadget, this may be music to your ears. Nokia has just lowered the price on its jack-of-all-trades N810 internet tablet, shaving $90 off the MSRP to bring it down to a highly affordable $389.99. Of course, you can probably find the WiFi-sportin', QWERTY-havin', GPS-rockin' little guy slightly cheaper if you troll the internet (which we know you will). Before you lay down the cash, though, you might want to ask yourself this: does the price drop mean a new version is on the way, like, say... that WiMAX-equipped N830 we've been hearing about? It's a tough call, but we know you'll make the right decision.

I have been on the Nokia US site and the 810 is listed at 439 not 399. Did it go back up in price?
I played with the WiMax version - N830 at a Sprint conference and it was sick.
Why is he the only one that has seen that actual 830?
Yes EEE PC has a bigger screen and can run windows, but try sticking one of those in your pocket
I have been considering an 800 or 810, and I have also been considering the Slacker portable. Will the 800 or 810 play music on Slacker.com over wifi? If so, I would skip the Slacker portable and just get the Nokia.
Thanks!
Price on Nokia USA is 439.99. Any idea what's going on?
I have actually fit my eee pc in my pocket lol
The one thing about the N810 that makes it worth the price is the transflective screen. You can read the display in the daylight.
I went to the nokia website but it's still at its $439 price. I can't find it at the stated lowered price
Just after the article was posted yesterday, it was down to $389. Sometime between then and now it went back to $439. I saw both.
I called them up, since I had just purchased the n810 a few days ago and I figured I could be compensated. Apparently it was a glitch that happened yesterday. The price it is now is the actual price of the product. They still compensated me for it. Impressive Nokia customer service.
Tried to order one from Nokia. They apparently sent me a "fullfillment email" that they needed to talk to me (but didn't actually send it). Then they wanted to call my credit card company, then wanted part of my social security #, then wanted verification of 3 "public, but personal" bits of info.
Somehow they have confused this with a $300,000 purchase, not a $300 purchase.
I cancelled. Other options will come along.
