O.K...so Penyrn is Intel's latest and greatest mobile CPU platform right? Which in turn means that it'll eventually make its way to all laptops eventually, right? So does that mean that engadget is going to cover ALL laptops released with this CPU?
Today on engadget...laptop company XYZ releases Penryn lappys!
Penryn = Old News.
You don't have to read it. :)
You forgot to list the 6910p!
i wonder if HP wil answer DELLs new business class design with a new one of their own
I bought a 6910 with a 2.6GHz C2D proc back in November.
Dang! I just got my 8510w T7500 just two weeks ago.
I bought an 8710w with a 7300 last October and just upgraded it to 64 bit Vista w/ 4gb of RAM. This is hands down the best laptop I've ever owned. The WUXGA screen is even better.
I got my 8510p in January .. i asked some people over at HP Netherlands as to when Penryn will rock these models .. they told me end march/beginning of april... hehe .. +1 for not lying to me.
Got my T7700 model anyway in jan. 8510p is by far one of the best notebooks I ever got! Got the 5400rpm/T7700/1680x1050 model (GB956EA btw) for just 1337 euros (really .. including taxes and shipping it was 1337,30 euros haha) Great deal, speedy notebook, 4.5 hours of battery life (REALLY! :O), splendid build quility, 3y world-wide business-class warranty(!!).
just checked hp.nl .. they are listed on the master page but not on the model pages. But I doubt they can beat the 1337 euro deal.
On the downside it's no 2.5 ~ 2.6 kg "lightweight" for an 15". It's an "mighty" 2.8kg (you notice it) and it's no MacBook Air sexy thin. But it's sturdy. I'll take not-broken over broken anyday (huh slimmer asus crap? :X)
