Nyko's wireless Wii nunchuk adapter hits the FCC, itself with the ugly stick

No matter how we might try and stop it, Nyko's wireless Wii nunchuk adapter / abomination ceaselessly advances upon the unsuspecting American consumer, stopping at nothing to ruin the delicate aesthetics of the Wii controllers and pump us full of even more unnecessary RF. The adapter and its receiver have just hit the FCC, and our nation's government has managed to use every ounce of photographic skill at its disposal to render these mutant hunks of plastic in as flattering a light as possible -- just look at that stained blue backdrop. Seriously, is anyone going to drop $20 on this thing? Isn't that money better spent on games? Explain yourself in comments, in ten words or less.

Did anyone (including the author) even look at the user manual to see how it works and LOOKS ... how the device is an adapter for the existing nunchuck that pops into it? When the nunchuck is in it ... it looks like the normal nunchuck with a pack under it for the transmitter circuit.

The convenience of wireless is kind of negated by the fact you never move it more than a cords length away from the wiimote, and there's a huge base at the bottom of it to throw off the weight distribution.

Unless you have problems with your kids accidentally asphyxiating themselves every time they wind up with a cord in their hands, this product is a no go.

you mean, YOU never do. I'M always pulling the cord taught as I like having my hands wide apart when I play, a luxury a two part control system finally affords. the wire just ruins it. I'm hoping the weight difference is negligible.

I'd pay $20 for it if it included the actual nunchuk because that costs $20... Other than that, I wouldn't pay for the "luxury" of removing that wire because it's not a big deal to have it. Also, the only reason I'll ever buy a PS3 is to play Blu-Ray DVDs, and that's only because Apple's selection of movies to buy (not rent) through iTunes/Apple TV sucks. I wonder why they can't also sell the same movies they can rent??? I'll definitely get an Apple TV if the next version comes with the rumored DVR...

How did this JUST hit the fcc my friend has this at home... I actually like it, as it makes it way easier to organize your nunchuks and my friend mentioned that it works flawless.
