Intempo Rebel records songs from FM radio, freaks out RIAA
This is either the best or worst idea ever -- we're still not sure. The Intempo Rebel (aptly named) records songs from FM radio stations, strips out DJ chatter and ads, and saves them to an SD or MMC card as MP3 files. What's more, it even goes after the most-played songs to make sure you're getting all the good (overplayed?) tracks right off the air. It also sports a USB port, line-in jack, and headphone plug. Intempo calls it a "music sampling system" that cuts out "hyperactive DJs" -- we call it a headache for the RIAA. It can be yours for £69.99 or $138 US.

Hey, I am back!
I just need to tell you this.
1. FIRST the Intempo Rebel starts to record the most played songs after about one day, such as top list music.
2. THEN it fixes the error songs into new saved versions and also starts to save not top list music.
On my mobile there is all kinds of new and old music now, not just Top List music.
Hey, this is a cool device.
I will report more to you after more testing. Cheers!
Hey I'm back!
This is my report follow up on how the Rebel by Intempo works.
1. It saves songs, the Top40 list from any radio station within 24 hours.
2. It save the same songs again only if they were not fine from the beginning. This seems to happen if the DJ has talked over the intro and then the Rebel-radio saves a new clean version. DJ-talk is from the beginning about 5-10%, but comes after another day down lower.
3. It stops saving the already saved good Top40 and start to save not-Top40.
It copies all songs to my Motorola phones Micro-SD card. ;-)
From a technical perspective I can understand how it copies the songs from the internal memory to my Moto phone. But CAN ANYBODY, PLEASE, assist me in figuring out HOW the 1,2,3 above works. This is too good to be true. How does it work?
