Imation's Atom Flash Drive is remarkably easy to mislay
Imation's Atom Flash Drive may not be the most capacious USB key you've ever seen -- heck, it's probably not even the smallest -- but it is this company's most diminutive of all time, and that just has to count for something. Available in 1/2/4/8GB sizes, these units feature Vista ReadyBoost compatibility and support for passwords while measuring less than 1.5-inches long and .5-inches wide. Slip one of these sub-1-ounce drives into your pocket today for $17.99 to $99.99, depending on capacity.

It's not really 100 bucks for an 8 gig is it!??
I LOVE THE CAPS LOCK KEY @ Jun 26th 2008 3:16AM
I think the added price is due to it's smaller size.

Agreed, capslock. But how small does someone need these things to be and is it really worth paying the premium?

Maybe like the high priced OCz rally drives, this one too can deliver over 30 MB/s?

I recently bought a Sandisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB for $45 on sale.
Cody @ Jun 26th 2008 3:37AM
An 8 GB Cruzer costs about $30 on amazon.com ...of course there is a shipping charge but it would still be cheaper than $45. I got a 4 GB Cruzer Titanium for $25. IMO most internet retailers are just cheaper. :)

Good tip, cody. But I bought mine off the shelf at that big yellow label place. Instant gratification and the price was pretty good.
Cody @ Jun 26th 2008 3:46AM
Yeah, at least it wasn't $100 like the one in the post. :P

Quickly! Affix it to your genitalia before you lose it!
A.C.E.R. @ Jun 26th 2008 3:37AM
I always know where my genitalia is but thanks for your concern.

I thought it was just me. Perhaps the editors are having fun at our expense. :P

To me it's not worth it - paying a premuim for something that is just more likely to get lost? Hmmmm
Wowotoe @ Jun 26th 2008 4:27AM
This is not even consider small and it's very expensive!
I got this A-Data 4GB for free after the coupon earlier this year.

It's the size of paperclip and half as thick as Atom Flash drive

when I saw 8gigs for $100 I first thought it's cheap. Greetings from Europe.
Cwisfa @ Jun 26th 2008 6:50AM
@Atanas
LOL! Me too, I'm from Australia.
A 8GB retails for what, $129?
The 16GB USB stick over here is an absolute steal at $259 :(
Andrew Harrison @ Jun 26th 2008 10:27AM
don't know where you are Cwisfa, but I'm in Melbourne and Centrecom are selling 8GB for $39, even Officeworks are selling them for $69. A 16GB Sony Microvault from Officeworks will set you back $129.

I wonder if it will fit into the Olinari USB dog tag...
