No frontin' here: this is the most excited we've been about in the wild shots in quite some time. Not only do we have a veritable plethora of
Envy 133 shots to glance at, but each one is high resolution and sharp as a tack. If you think your heart can handle checking out this slab of sexy from all angles, head on down to the links below and give it a go. From here, the only thing we're down on is that mirror they call a
glossy display; otherwise, this thing looks downright heavenly.

glaringly reflective
Anthony @ Jun 27th 2008 4:21PM
More like glaringly beautiful.
phanbouy @ Jun 27th 2008 4:23PM
@Anthony
Stop staring at your reflection, narcissist. ;p
Anthony @ Jun 27th 2008 5:20PM
The scary thing is when I said something was beautiful, you assumed it was me... I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment or be creeped out.
Ellianth @ Jun 27th 2008 7:55PM
*gets uncomfortably close to Anthony* Why'd you be creeped out beautiful?
Thiago A. @ Jun 27th 2008 4:12PM
I like my MacBook Pro better. If it wasn't for the orange and I actually liked Windows operating systems, I would buy it....
Joe Dombrowski @ Jun 27th 2008 4:15PM
Translation: "If it was...a mac...I'd buy it."
Someone at Valve told me Orange was sexy. I believe him. *want*
jason @ Jun 27th 2008 4:17PM
you can customize it however you want. practically with any color combo. also i think you can get it to ship OS free.
Ben @ Jun 27th 2008 5:14PM
I'll be interested if someone gets it to run OSX86
Pochi @ Jun 27th 2008 6:07PM
@Thiago A.
It's one thing to have a MacBook and like it.
Another thing entirely to point out your ownership like it makes you cool.
Moral of the story: You suck.
josearoldan @ Jun 27th 2008 4:14PM
For some reason it looks to me like something that came straight out of Ben Heck workshop. I say that because it reminds me of the Console laptops he makes.
CharlieX @ Jun 27th 2008 4:14PM
Looks pretty cool but it's going to end up a big greasy fingerprint trap.
krizoitz @ Jun 27th 2008 4:18PM
This is the first PC laptop I've seen where I really feel like there is an attempt to put together something that is mroe than just functional. I'm not a huge fan of the orange (will it come in other colors, i think a good forrest green or deep blue would look great) but its an all around great looking laptop. And thats coming from a Mac user.
Nicky-Larson @ Jun 27th 2008 4:18PM
Can you tell me why in GOD's name this had to be compared to the Mac Book Pro? Why can't a different product just be what it is, "A Different Product". Gosh......
Anyway, sweet looking. But got me thinking of the job of keeping all the smudges off it :)
cesium @ Jun 27th 2008 4:21PM
it comes in a crapload of other colors lol.
Richard @ Jun 27th 2008 5:05PM
I talked to a voodoo employee on NBR and he said you can get any color you want. Voodoo has an automotive paint shop so.. describe what you want or send them a sample and they will match it! Good stuff, but not cheap. IIRC, a premium paint job was $500+ on the old systems. That wasn't even a custom color.

Pradster @ Jun 28th 2008 4:57AM
you are in luck my friend, coz this thing is customised! you choose the color!
Thiago A. @ Jun 27th 2008 4:27PM
When did I compare it to a MacBook Pro? I said very clearly "I like my MacBook Pro better". Read before you comment.
krizoitz @ Jun 27th 2008 4:24PM
In all fairness Nicky, it does bear more than a passing similarity to the MacBook Pro, and you also have to admit that as far as well designed laptops go the MBP has set a high standard. I wouldn't call it a copy or anything like that, but it does seem to have learned a few lessons from its Apple cousin.
Richard @ Jun 27th 2008 6:10PM
My reply should have been to Krizoitz... not sure what happened.
John Cavanagh @ Jun 27th 2008 4:24PM
That's hot!
Don't tell Paris.
bcrider @ Jun 27th 2008 4:26PM
No thank you.
matt @ Jun 27th 2008 4:31PM
I really do not like the way this thing looks, and it will probably look worse as time progresses. It looks like the gloss on the black will scratch under the pressure of a falling hair. Much like the first-gen Apple iPod Nanos did.
I'm glad it comes in more colors than orange though.
Adrian Williams @ Jun 27th 2008 4:31PM
Figerprints?! No one brings that up with the iphone
Raymond @ Jun 27th 2008 4:33PM
Unless they replaced that MIRROR with a screen that does allows people to read, no thanks.
The MIRROR is a deal-breaker.
grull27 @ Jun 27th 2008 4:33PM
It's so beautiful!
pboyd04 @ Jun 27th 2008 4:34PM
I can't get over how ugly this thing is... I'm not envious at all. It may just be the black and orange combination... but do not want.
m @ Jun 27th 2008 5:10PM
it sure is shiny. as the beholder, though, i can't say i think this is "beautiful," either. not that my dell latitude was ever pretty. or cheap. or well-made. or fast. or durable. (you get the idea.) do i lose more points if i also confess that i don't like macbook pros, either?
i think my dream machine is still the one that art student made out of hemp, granola, and twigs.
Nicky-Larson @ Jun 27th 2008 4:35PM
And how is that not a comparison?
Mark Anderson @ Jun 27th 2008 4:37PM
That is... beautiful.
Yet horribly expensive.
initialxy @ Jun 27th 2008 4:38PM
wonder how it would look like when it gets old and dirty
z0phi3l @ Jun 27th 2008 4:41PM
Looks very square
Too bad I can't afford a decent laptop
iJuleguy @ Jun 27th 2008 4:44PM
This has to be the sexiest laptop I have ever seen.
Carl Vitullo @ Jun 27th 2008 4:47PM
oh god, the textured touchpad!
i had the displeasure of using one of those, it was one of the most uncomfortable pointing devices i've ever used. i couldn't imagine using one every single day
Phil Gilder @ Jun 27th 2008 5:06PM
exactly. the textured touch pad was the 2nd thing i saw, after the gloss finish
hate textured touch pads
Boarderwoot @ Jun 27th 2008 6:13PM
I called to preorder mine and the customer service rep told me in a very sexy voice that i could also get the touch pad in "ribbed" and "extra sensitive". I got mine in lime green and black. tres sexy.
smi1ey @ Jun 27th 2008 4:49PM
smudgetastic. i'm anal enough about iphone smudges, i can't imagine getting this! it certainly does look sexy though.
lotsta @ Jun 27th 2008 4:51PM
how can i buy this??? still not up for sale on voodoopc.com
soto @ Jun 27th 2008 4:59PM
You can call and preorder
Catsceo @ Jun 27th 2008 4:53PM
Delicious.
Vidit Bhargava @ Jun 27th 2008 4:55PM
gorgeous
Richard @ Jun 27th 2008 5:02PM
That's a really nice looking mirror.
jollyllama @ Jun 27th 2008 5:10PM
Damn. Glossy screens are a plague on the laptop market. Whenever I'm in a retailer, I always hear people (usually girls) run up to a computer and say "wow, it's so shiny!", so I know this catches people's eyes' in stores (and websites, apparently), but sheesh, they can be a serious pain in the real world.
Nomi @ Jun 27th 2008 5:11PM
mmmmmm..
Neil @ Jun 27th 2008 5:11PM
Saucy!!!
youngstunna @ Jun 27th 2008 5:27PM
it's beautiful ^_^
PnkPanther @ Jun 27th 2008 5:35PM
*fap fap fap*
no seriously though, it looks beautiful, and the tech specs are impressive for being so small.
Dodo @ Jun 27th 2008 5:46PM
i guess a family pack of cleaning towels are included in the price of the envy and I hope you can order the cleaning materials later as well...10packs, family packs or every 11th delivery for free...and a very weeeird orange...
Bloobie @ Jun 27th 2008 5:53PM
Quite sexy, except for the hideous choice of orange. :)
