iriver's Lplayer now on sale in America
You've seen it toyed with, you've seen it unboxed and you've read the review. Now, the moment of truth has arrived. iriver's Lplayer is officially on sale here in the USA, with the 4GB models going for $109.99 and the 8GB editions demanding $159.99. You'll also have to choose between white, pink and black, but don't sweat the details, okay?

I prefer to buy a small portable umpc/laptop and have all the codecs I want. acer aspire FTW!

Why not, danakin?

I was recently given a portable media player, so it is unecessary for me to get another one (even though this one rawks).

Great. Now when is that revised E100 (supposedly to be E150/E200) going to come our way?

Great. However, I'm still wishing they'd sell the X20 here in the US. I currently have a U10, and I'm not too impressed with the whole D-Click interface.

The iriver X20 is actually just a reference design and is the same hardware as Best Buys's Insignia NS-DV player. You can actually turn the NS-DV into the iriver X20 by loading the iriver firmware. Here is the How To: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17955

I can tell you from experience that Iriver products are not reliable and they drop support for them when their next "shiny flagship device" comes out. I don't know about now but I bought 2 devices from them including one of their first Color brick mp3 player and their first CD mp3 player (both of witch were rare back then).

cheaper than the clix2...but again not upto its level too

That photo is of two of them stacked up, right? :p

hmmm...they are in hong kong for quite a while, in fact i got one this morning...not sure how good it is yet but the d*click is not as responsive as i hoped it to be (ie, you have to click EXACTLY in the middle of the respective sides in order for it to recognize it as a click)
all in all its a really small profile, light, nice form factor and easy to carry...not complaining atm

From iRiver America:
$159.99 + 8.75% tax (CA) + $9.50 shipping = $183.49
Imported from Warehouse123:
$141.00 + $26.32 shipping = $167.32
Go figure.

Found warehouse123 dropped the price again!

They also offer a free iriver sillicon case with purchase. I also love the USB charger coming with the package.

C'mon Cowon. Release a new firmware (a super awesome spectacular fantastic firmware of course) for the D2 or something! Before I stoop really low and buy a mediocre sounding (but pretty cool looking) player from iriver.

Quite a beaty, thank god the d2 I ordered has more features.
