HP rolls out Puma-based Compaq 6735b, 6535b business laptops

HP has already busted out a bundle of Puma-based laptops and tablets, but it looks like it's not done with AMD's latest platform just yet, with it now rolling out a pair of new Compaq laptops aimed at business users. Those include the 15.4-inch Compaq 6735b and the 14.1-inch 6535b, each of which will come loaded with your choice of AMD Turion X2, X2 Ultra, or Athlon X2 processors, along with ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, support for up to 8GB of RAM (though only 2GB and 3GB options are configurable from HP), a max 160GB hard drive, and an optional second hard drive in place of the DVD burner if you so choose. You can also expect a WXGA resolution on each, with WSXGA+ also available on the 15.4-inch model and WXGA+ an option on the 14.1-inch (both have both BrightView and anti-glare options, as well). From the looks of it, you can get your hands on either one right now, with the base configuration for each setting you back $779.

Another day, another laptop..
amd turion X2 processors are the WORST.
my laptop nearly burns my leg off, and add to that that the most battery life it has had was 40 minutes (now it is down to around 10).
my sister has the same exact model, but with a celeron dual core. not only can it outperform mine, it is much much cooler, and the battery life was 2 hours when she got it.
i hate AMD mobile processors :(
Perhaps, but AMD Radeon HD 3200 graphics are the best integrated graphics by far. My friend got the tx2500z and he can play Orange Box on high detail easily.
i agree with jason. AMD mobile processors are the worst. i hav a tx1218ca and i regret buyin it. even with AMD cool and quiet and the power mode set to power saver the temperature on the laptop is still frickin 58c.
It looks nice.
Why is HP not using the Core 2 duo?
for competition's sake.... what kind of a world would we live in if everybody put intel on their notebooks just because it performs better? oh wait I know... one with expensive notebooks...
They sell Intel based laptops as well, and they look similar. The Intel based ones have been out a while though (along with their AMD counterparts), so this news story is only focusing on the AMD refresh.
8 gigs of ram!?
AMD procesor always handel a lost of ram, i rememnber when the hp dv6500t(amd) Dv6500z(intel) the T with turion x2 you can put 4 gigs and the Z with core 2 duo only 2gigs
64bit FTW
Can't you just post more pictures of that Envy 133 and be done with it? At least I'd read about it!
