KoKo @ Jul 8th 2008 4:52PM
Yes. Yes you should.
Steve Paine @ Jul 8th 2008 5:00PM
No. Don't do it. 2.5 hrs isn't enough. Get 6-cell 901!
KEROLiUKAS @ Jul 8th 2008 5:39PM
901? that overpriced POS ? nahhh..
btw, i called Fry's and they know nothing about it...
antiver @ Jul 8th 2008 5:49PM
My Amazon order status: Not Yet Shipped: 1 item - delivery estimate: August 1, 2008 - August 11, 2008
Flashpoint @ Jul 8th 2008 6:00PM
If you drop one of these...
is that BREAKING WIND?
Dillon @ Jul 8th 2008 3:57PM
That's okay, we have enough wind over hear as it is.
Btw, we all know you are lying, nobody can own the wind.
Lowest Ranked @ Jul 8th 2008 5:01PM
Sure hope this wind doesn't break.
BradS @ Jul 9th 2008 9:24AM
One can only inherit the wind.
retro77 @ Jul 8th 2008 4:00PM
Wow, the Eee has been out for 9 months now.
ScOObyDoo @ Jul 8th 2008 4:09PM
Uh, ok.
Eee: 4GB, 512MB memory, low resolution, slow CPU, small keyboard, no Bluetooth: $399
MSI Wind: 80Gb, 1GB memory, higher resolution, Intel Atom 1.6, 92% size keyboard, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, $499.
With your logic we can all settle for Osbornes.
retro77 @ Jul 8th 2008 7:06PM
You haven't seen the other iterations of the Eee that have come out since, have you.
Also where is MSI's SSD. If its gonna be in the same price range, at least have an SSD as well. 80GB hard drives are cheap now [more profit margin for MSI I guess]. SSD is the way to go.
GhettoBanjo @ Jul 8th 2008 4:11PM
Will it come with that awesome wallpaper of the little girl!!?!?!?!?11?!?!?
phanbouy @ Jul 8th 2008 4:07PM
is that you, Flashpoint?
clak @ Jul 8th 2008 4:15PM
That sounded kind of dirty...
Travis @ Jul 8th 2008 4:44PM
The John Walsh has been notified.
phobic99 @ Jul 8th 2008 5:52PM

"It says here in your chat log....."
YpoCaramel @ Jul 8th 2008 4:20PM
Is this the 3-cell version or the 6-cell version?
hugoliva @ Jul 8th 2008 4:24PM
RTFA!!!!!!!
YpoCaramel @ Jul 8th 2008 7:43PM
Take a chill pill. It was in the middle of the long press release. Things can be missed.
Nick @ Jul 8th 2008 8:22PM
Oooo, yea. A whole 3 paragraphs is such a long PR. I got so tired reading it I almost didn't get to your stupid comment.
IT-Accountant @ Jul 8th 2008 4:20PM
HOORAY!!!!!
Alex @ Jul 8th 2008 4:23PM
IT IS NOT AVAILABLE. IT IS NOT SHIPPING.
Some of these places say they have it in stock. I was one of the many who ordered one on MWave.com. MWave just admitted they have not received any and basically don't know when they will receive any. They have not shipped ANY.
There are no retailers in the US shipping the Wind yet. This article is junk!
riggs @ Jul 8th 2008 4:31PM
i didnt know mwave were every retailer listed in this article as a whole.
Alex @ Jul 8th 2008 5:10PM
I've communicated with many people who have ordered from all of those sites, and no one has received anything, and people have reported that nothing has been shipped either.
BrokenMonkey @ Jul 8th 2008 7:35PM
NewEgg doesn't even list the Wind, or any other MSI notebook, on their site.
whowhatme @ Jul 8th 2008 4:24PM
Nooo, I only ordered late June, so I'm probably not going to see mine shipped until the third wave or something. BOO.
thedesolate1 @ Jul 8th 2008 4:25PM
bout damn time i'd say.....
fuzzy @ Jul 8th 2008 4:31PM
Any word on a black version? Or 6 cell?
Either way, thinking of selling my original EeePC 4G now.
phanbouy @ Jul 8th 2008 4:33PM
i'm holding out for the splinter cell version
R1cebrner @ Jul 8th 2008 4:37PM
how much ?
R1cebrner @ Jul 8th 2008 4:38PM
how much ?
Kevin @ Jul 8th 2008 8:06PM
Sold mine on ebay, got $300 (sold without shipping cost to try to boost bidding)... was hoping for 350. Oh well.
Timmy @ Jul 8th 2008 4:36PM
I dont find any mention on New Egg for the MSI Wind.
antiver @ Jul 8th 2008 5:34PM
If NewEgg was selling it I would have bought there instead of considering any of the other crappy retailers listed.
nerdtalker @ Jul 8th 2008 5:43PM
Can't find any mention of it either. I never saw it there in the first place, what's this about pre-orders?
Luke @ Jul 8th 2008 4:37PM
This is incorrect. The only Wind's that have shipped are from MSI's shop. MWave is the only other one to claim to have some in stock, and they are claiming to be shipping them back to the vendor (I doubt they ever had them.)
ramjet73 @ Jul 8th 2008 9:09PM
I just got my UPS tracking number from mwave.com for a white Wind 3 cell model (U100-002LA) and I should receive it in a couple of days. :)
kal326 @ Jul 8th 2008 4:38PM
So you really don't want to bother ordering one till late Sept when the 6 cell is available. Since what is the value of a low power subnote with a sub par smaller battery?
Onetrack @ Jul 8th 2008 5:03PM
this is why.

R1cebrner @ Jul 8th 2008 4:39PM
my server had a hiccup. it did it again
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.
Jonny2hats @ Jul 8th 2008 4:41PM
lolol ive had mine since 1st of july!!!, im in the uk tho.....
Guy3001 @ Jul 8th 2008 6:03PM
you mean you've had an Advent since 1 july?
Jonny2hats @ Jul 8th 2008 7:03PM
the big msi logo on the lid says different
BigD145 @ Jul 8th 2008 4:58PM
I thought the Atom was supposed to be cheaper. Drop the price and make the battery bigger.
Unknown @ Jul 8th 2008 5:10PM
Well, I've got an amazon pre-order, and definitely have gotten no contact from them. Newegg has NEVER had it listed as an inventory item, even the last time MSI put out a release indicating they would be available there.
Way to report based on a corporate press release rather than actually investigating a story.
antiver @ Jul 8th 2008 5:46PM
Couldn't agree more, especially the last part. I've experienced the same as you.
Balls @ Jul 8th 2008 5:19PM
prefer mine without kiddie pron.
thanks.
