Lamborghini-branded ASUS ZX1 said to be canceled

It's been touted and shown off for a few months now, but it looks like ASUS may have finally given up on its luxurious Lamborghini-branded ZX1 smartphone, at least if Alex of MoDaCo is to be believed. According to him, ASUS has cancelled the planned summer launch of the device in order to ensure that "more important devices" scheduled for Q4 of this year are released on time. No word if that means we may still eventually see the pricey phone released sooner or later, but we wouldn't recommend holding your breath at the moment.
Why do people want unrelated brands on their stuff? It's like wanting a Meizu life-jacket or a Microsoft steak.

Ok, chief- i think the point of this article is that people DON'T want that. But take it however you want.

Could be worse brand pairings. Like you could pull out your Valtrex branded phone.. sure to lower your chances at any happening party or night club.

What are these car manufacturers up to? They are masters with diluting their brands. Computers, aftershave, cellphones... Come on. Focus on the cars instead. The same goes for Ferrari.

Glad they took their head out of their @$$ to notice such a device was not needed, especially when it'll probably be priced at a cost only around 30 ppl will buy.

Pretty but WAY overpriced.
I'm going to have to disagree there, I don't really think it looks all the great, even if it was only £100, I still wouldn't buy it.
But ye, it was going to be way overpriced.
Instead Asus is now working on a Lamborghini branded Eee PC.

If you had a lamborghini you would understand why they would make this phone!
The day I bought my Murci, next thing you know you feel like a 12 year old again and then have yourself a lambo hat (in a few colors), lambo shirt, lambo key chain, lambo desktop wall paper and even a lambo theme on your iphone.
So I can see if this phone had the features I wanted, I would most likely want it...
Not the same feeling if you are a Saturn owner I guess!

Is it me or does it look linda like a Zune? Also why would you want a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Harley, etc. branded what-have-you if you don't ACTUALLY OWN one of those vehicles. Doesn't that make you a poseur? Or an idiot? I always love the Scion with the Harley sticker on it...what the hell kind of statement are you making with that (oh say, that you are a tard)?

Of course you can always go to a shop that sells cheap plastic mobile phone covers. Find a red one with "Ferrari" or "Lamborghini" painted on it, and there you go. Very classly. Not cheap and tacky at all.
