I found out today that my iPhone 3G shipped with firmware 2.0 (build 5A345). I was having all kinds of quirky problems.. apparently build 5A347 is the latest. I updated it tonight, and so far it's behaving much better.
I noticed after my restore that Twitteriffic was not reinstalled... I wonder if that was causing my troubles..

I did the restore too. I'm running the 5A347 build but I still get the lags when typing and it very annoying.
