i know exacly what im talking about. i know nokia sells more phones per minute than iphone selld per year or whatever. but cmon, they keep releasingfugly phones and theyr dominance will fall.
way to prove that the people who buy iphones are buying into a fashion trend, and the people buying s60 devices actually want some functionality out of their phones.
I work in the corporate field. And NEVER see any one with a Nokia s60 device. That doesn't mean their not solid, it means people here don't buy them. Most people in America with Nokia's have low end handsets. Apple/Blackberry don't make a low end handset. All their phones are feature packed. Many people in the States aren't looking to buy feature packed PDAs and media phone's, and the ones that are ...are buying Blackberry's and iPhones.
Somehow Apple fanbois feel threatened by that phone it seems. SuperDumbnutErik laid out two flamebaits, and the other usual suspect Jubei also already joined in...
Stock performance is only one measure of a company's success, and if you think my N95 was free .... hahahahahaha I can't stop laughing. I have the funnies! Help!
"rich rich rich, you just messed with the wrong company. lets pull some numbers together shall we? :)
This is the last 2 yearsof stock.
nokia start: 19 nokia end: 27
Apple start: 54 Apple end: 166
thats the last 2 years.. hmmm. nokia has risen so much over the last two years huh? "
You do realize that there is a lot more Nokia stock than there is Apple stock. Lets try this on for size. If company A has 100 shares at $27 dollars a share and company B has 10 shares at $166, then who truly has to more potent company?
SuperSexyErik, The phone market consists of many different needs. iPhone doesn't satisfy all those needs, nor price brackets.
Stock price has nothing to do with market dominance, or indicating needs being fulfilled, or even an understanding of the market. It has a lot to do with jittery investors (often clueless themselves).
I hope this has helped you. Please enjoy your sexy device. Just understand it's not for everyone, and a single phone or two do not dominate markets with varying needs and budgets.

AJC, Nokia has poor market presence in the US. S60 phones are used a lot of business in EMEA and Asia
As for stock price, last time I looked Apple's was south of 150.
