Personally I just find that the 360 controller conforms to your hand better. The dualshocks have always been kind of rigid you know?
Besides that I think the concave shape and position of the 360's thumb sticks allow for better control. The dual shocks are smooth and their position feel awkward when holding the controller but then again I have big hands...
Yah, well personal preference I suppose, being used to either controller makes anything different seem a little weird, which is probably why I don't really like 360 controllers, but I am sure if I played the thing more often I would get used to it. Somehow a few hundred hours of COD4 on PS3 has me stuck on that controller.
yea those analog sticks are what bug me the most about playstation controllers, if they just switched the d-pad and left analog it would of been a major improvement to there controllers.
I want one of these very badly. I need the challenge achievements in DDRU and DDRU2, and getting them with the pad, while possible, would take far too much time (the 360 controller sucks for DDR. Aside from the d-pad being garbage, its offset, so the controller layout isn't symmetrical, and it makes me make mistakes that I wouldn't have made otherwise). I just checked his site, and couldnt find project info, but I'm wondering if this could be done with a DS2 instead, as I have an old one laying around, and would rather not shell out for a new DS3. My other option was to buy an XFPS360, but im not gonna spend a hundred bucks for something that I'm only going to use for two games. Now, when is that ion drum kit coming out?
Yeah, I have both systems and I would MUCH rather have a mod that put a DualShock 3 into the form factor of the Xbox 360 controller. It's a much better ergonomic fit for my hammy mitts.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
But but but all the 360 players who have played my PS3 claim their controller is superior
Ohh, I guess this is for when PS3 fanboys want to play a 360 and be able to cover it up in case someone walks in on them.

If they did that, wouldn't it be a Nintendo GameCube controller, only black?

Yeah, this is a huge step back for a 360 controller. Putting the guts of a PS3 controller in a 360 controller's shell would make far more sense.
I would love a mod for the Dualshock in a 360 controller. It just fits my hands way better. That sounds like a product that would get sales.
