Well, it ain't no MacBook, but at least it can play games!
the macbook being a good example of which particular quality..?
Well... too bad it doesn't have that super duper powerful GMA X3100 that's in your MacBook right now.
Master of nothing?
"well, it is not no MacBook"
you just said this is a macbook
wtf go find a mac thred and comment away.
Thank God it's not a Macbook Pro.
Why on Earth would anyone even pay what Apple is asking for their craptops?
Oh, and enjoy playing Zork, Doom II, and Photoshop on your Macbook Pro gaming laptop...
nads-replacement surgery not included
It comes with a heatsink-fan for your balls.
The ex310 looks like a much more exciting offering than these 2.
Now that's gonna be cheap, but it definitely won't play crysis or call of duty 4 on max.
just wonderin', are you named after a scale function?
Good to see they dropped that awful logo they had!
It looks nice at the beginning, I think it has a lot of potential...
I want to see this in person, see how it performs, first before passing any judgement though...

How does a 9600M GT compare to the 8600M GT?
50% more power or so, hopefully similar power consumption.
not as toasty or cheap as some might suggest.
Hm... Looks awesome. If I was looking at getting a laptop for gaming then i would consider this. But im not, so i wont. Very nice looking though. Why dont more manufacturers make black alluminum things? Best looking shell IMO.
no fire this time! good call MSI :)
Still love the Hp Pavilion dv5t.
How is this Centrino 2 chipset if it uses DDR2 ram? Centrino 2 has DDR3 ram...
Centrino 2 has support for DDR3. But DDR3 to me is a bit silly. yes it's faster, but the amount of extra cost over DDR2 800 (max DDR2 speed) (which is still faster than my desktop RAM) just seems a little pointless.
DDR3's second advantage, and most relevant in laptops, is 25% less power consumption. Stupid question - can a user replace the DDR2 with DDR3 for any Centrino 2 laptop (204 pin vs. 200). Intel says Centrino 2 is backward compatible with DDR2, but I assume it means some manufacturers are putting the chipset on boards with 200 pin SDRAM. Or, all Centrino 2 boards have 204 pin slots that can also take 200 pin chips. Anyone know?
I saw pricing for the GX720:

It's $1,955.90AU meaning it'll prolly be about $1600 in the US.
