It looks a little fake, in the word MacBook the k is a lot different then the macbook pro "k". I don't see why they would go threw all the hassle of changing the letter to look different. Just my opinion.
I'd buy a metal-clad MacBook.

Could the bottom one be a macbook tablet? Just the way the screen is apparently recessed on top of the rest.
Personally, I'm more interested in a release date than photos.
The logo is most likely not off center, as it is central top-bottom wise, and one side is obscured by a foam sleeve. The way that you can tell that it is probably fake is the k, which has a longer middle joint than the actual macbook.
Then again, the MacBook Air has a huge wide single hinge in the middle, not at the sides as per this picture.
Also, i dont know if its just me but if you carefully look around the edges of the frontplate it looks like the foam is being stretched, which would not happen with a single piece of metal. It looks as if this must be the whole laptop as there is the bottom half holding it together. If they had the bottom half, surely they would take a picture of it? What the top picture shows is most likely the top of a macbook air

Not a big departure from the previous MacBook form factor. Aluminum is nice though. I will be checking this one out when it hits the Apple Store. God i miss the old days when six different prototypes would leak to the web and we would get camera phone pictures smuggled out of the Taiwan factory. Now nothing gets out.

Alright so these photo's are most likely not the real macbooks that are coming out but a lot of things can be deduced from the direction in which apple is heading in it's other product lines. The new macbook will surely have an aluminum casing as it is a lot more environmentally friendly and increases performance due to the aluminum acting as a heat sink. Also Apple is due to finally put out a tablet mac so although it may look different one is coming. And the date is also very likely known, Apple's back to school offer ends September 15 and the Expo is scheduled from the 17th-20th; coincidence?
This is just a Macbook Air with the word "Air" photoshoped out, you can see that "Macbook" is not centered in the middle of the display frame. Keep dreaming! The new Macbook will be Carbon Fibre, Apple hired a carbon fibre expert 12 months ago to design the upcoming enclosure which will overall add to the new ultra-light full spec machine.
in the first picture, it looks as though it is the air because it is very slim. but perhaps it is sitting in a foam housing that covers the bottom section.
and the symbol looks off center and not the right way around because there is a sleeve covering part of the left side.
I'm gonna go against what everyone is saying and say that this might actually be real. I'm so getting a job in the apple store to get discounts if this comes out soon xD!
