It would have been nice if the summary stated that this was a netbook
oh good I wasn't the only one who read it and had no idea what was being referred to.
Yeah, it was difficult to click the "Everun Note" link in the middle of the paragraph.
it... does.
"Raon Digital's first big wave of marketing hoopla for its forthcoming Everun Note ***************netbook*************** includes a very useful specifications list"
i highlighted it for you.
One source said its only coming out in Korea and others say it will also come to North America, can anyone confirm? I hear the price will be around $800, I'm worried of a Turion X2 in this small chassis.
Yes, it will be coming to NA.
Does anybody have benchmark results from other comparable devices? On their own, they tell me pretty much...nothing...
I hope I can get used to the unusual placement of the arrow keys, I would like to play some older games on this.
I just purchased the Redfly at $400. I was going to purchase it at $500. If you just look at the price of the hardware, it is over priced. But, it you consider what have to be added to make a notebook/netbook functional, $400 is a good price.
To make a notebook/netbook functional you have to add a PAM plan or a data card and it's plan. These two options will limit your data to 5g a month.
Cost of a PAM plan over 24 months:
Cost of notebook/netbook + $360 ($15 a month for plan x 24)
Cost of data card plan over 24 months:
Cost of notebook/netbook + cost of data card (maybe free) + $1440 ($60 a month for plan x 24)
Cost of Redfly over 24 months:
$400
I like to stay legal, so I will not use PDANet.
All I need to do is access the internet, and manage my PIM data and email. When Live Mesh is fully operational, I can manage files between devices and files. With Redfly, I can do all this using my phone and I would not limited to 5g of data per month.
errr, right. .... this article is about the everun. atleast you didnt mention the i-*****
This article is horribly written and hard to read!
Good to go? Good. WTF? Word twisters? forthcoming?
In a perfect world, there would only be AMD, while Atom would be "struggling" to sell. This has always been the case with the Intel/AMD rivalry. The best product never wins.
That Everun Raon Notebook umpc is extremely powerful and extremely small. Well done.
I would be kind of worried this would be a little to pricey compared to other comparable netbooks. Unless they plan to bring out a lower end model with ssd or a lower clocked amd cpu.
Why the hell would you be surprised that it does well in benchmarks? It's a Turion, not Geode.
tres bien
