Windows 7 in-depth technical info to be divulged in October
Windows 7, in large part, has remained fairly elusive thus far. Granted, we wouldn't expect anything different given that it's still years out from being formally titled and pushed to market, but it's still great to hear that we'll be hearing more shortly. The new Engineering Windows 7 (E7 for short) blog, which is penned by engineering managers Jon DeVaan and Steven Sinofsky, points to two upcoming conferences in which "in-depth technical information about Windows 7" will be revealed. The Professional Developers Conference (PDC) on October 27 will the first of the two, and the aforementioned duo has promised to keep a steady stream of details flowing on their blog during the run-up. Are you on the edge of that seat yet?[Via CNET]

LOL. Amazing how many users will continue to buy utter garbage. After being burned by the supposedly greatest OS release from MS just recently, the bend over boy users of MS are ready to take another one with a smile. In the meantime blocking the fact that Mac OS X is the template that MS continually to base their OS from.
Actually, both Microsoft and Apple are working towards a common goal. ...they're just approaching it from different angles. You could also say that Apple is copying Microsoft by releasing Snow Leopard and patenting a similar tech of the Zune (squirting songs) for the iPod.
Apple doesn't hold a patent on innovation. ...actually, they improve (steal) others' ideas just as much as other companies do. Apple didn't invent the OS or even the iPod. They just made them a little more consumer friendly.
Your comments reek of ignorance. You obviously haven't touched Vista either. Actually, I built my PC, put Vista Ultimate on it, paid under $1,000 and it STILL runs twice as fast as any currently available Mac. Who's bending over and taking again, fanboy?
People who say that OSX will overtake windows by the next release is out of their mind. Half the people who use computers here in Thailand dont even know what a Mac is (outside bangkok). The gaming industry is still solely stuck to the PC market for the time being. I would give it about 10 to 15 years before mass amounts of people start switching. But then again, MS might just come through with our wishes by the enxt windows.

A little bit of reading on real history is in order here. Please don't state that a made for TV docudrama as actually being factual.
