ASUS N10 netbook forgets the streets, ditches Eee moniker
It looks like ASUS knows how much it's trashed the Eee brand -- the company's new, higher-end 10.2-inch netbook is simply labeled "N10" in an effort to give the rig some premium cachet, and it looks like it deserves it, with a slick new case, Altec Lansing speakers, HDMI out, and a 1024 x 768 display. Apart from Digitimes saying pricing will be in the range of €300 - €400 ($446 - $595) -- which we're not buying -- that's really all we know, but we're sure to find out more soon. Anyone else think it's funny that ASUS so diluted the Eee brand in under a year that it has to start a new premium line? Tons more pictures at the read link.

This is the only Netbook I really liked !!!
Whats the config for the basic model. Processor/HD/RAM ?
Yea the READ is in french...wish i knew too
You guys are *obsessed* with the "Eee brand dilution." Give it a rest! It's almost like you cut and paste these posts together. I dare you to post some ASUS or netbook news without using your beloved catch phrase. Scratch that -- I double dog dare you.
Eee fanboy if i knew one. If your not sick of teh zillion of Eee brands, you need a brain readjustment ... -1
Big huge bezel, why the f can't they do something about that? I'll bet my X60s is smaller and lighter than this. Make Netbooks small and light please. I'll even pay a premium for it.
It's not 1024*768, its 1024*600.
I just hope it's built like a tank, in the way most ASUS products are.
Really nice looking design.
Everyone would low rank me for complaining about the Eee PC's diluted name of products, but even the endgadet writers feel the same. Can't say I told ya so
hmm,,I 'm japanese Eee PC user.
this note have 1024*600... I hope 1024*768 higer.
anyone hope it?
It probably won't be an atom processor as it has an HDMI port....whats the point of putting a processor in it that couldn't handle the performance requirements to decode HD? I bet this is going to be a more expensive computer than what they are saying
HDMI is more than just for HD movies. It can be used to connect to any DVI/HDMI equipped display plus audio.

It looks like a good netbook, but the price is pretty high (much higher than the predicted price in this article). If it truely had retailed for around $500 I would have probably purchased one.
