2x500Gb hard drives?... man that's a lot of portable porn.
Techie @ Aug 23rd 2008 8:51PM
I saw the Asus Eee at Target for 299.99 each. It's kind of weird....

3rd or 4th or 5th?
Backlin @ Aug 23rd 2008 6:48PM
It depends. On the scale of intelligence, you're getting closer as you read to the right.
And the G71V looks like an FF-Class laptop!

Oh come on Asus... gimme an EEEEE....
Ray @ Aug 23rd 2008 4:21PM
Well, if you follow asus trend, there will probably be atleast 5 new eepcs released by tomorrow morning
and oh yeah, about the 9700m, can it run crysis?
RAQ @ Aug 23rd 2008 3:03PM
Come on Asus go back to making netbooks, I dont know why people complain about them giving consumers more choice, the only reason why people complain that i can think of is because they have bought an Eee PC and then seen another better model come out.

No Wireless USB?
I really wish OEMs would speed up putting this in to laptops. The quicker the technology proliferates in to laptops, the sooner we'll see devices with wireless USB built-in (i.e. without requiring an adapter). Dell and Lenovo have already started.

I wonder when these will be in the shops…

It's out now, it has been bought and reviewed already - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=282100
Looks pretty awesome, I think 9700m gt is the most that is wise in a 15.4" notebook
also purchaseable in cheap mode via best buy
Knives_Out @ Aug 23rd 2008 3:21PM
haha. I love this marketing garbage ..

That G50 sounds pretty awesome. I have an Asus G1 right now and it's a great machine. Built well, has lasted me a while and was very competitively priced when I bought it.
Joe @ Aug 23rd 2008 3:34PM
I hear the Republic of Gamers is next on Russia's hit-list!
Vivek @ Aug 23rd 2008 3:59PM
The G50V has been available for a few weeks now, although in limited quantities.

Wait a second, new? I've owned a G50Vm-X1 for about a week now and they've been on sale at Best Buy for nearly a month. They're also available on NewEgg. Funny that a press release would be dated August 22nd.

guydudebro @ Aug 24th 2008 12:00AM
Hmm, no prices?
xValentine @ Aug 24th 2008 12:51AM
The G71V looks very tight!
Now I'm just gonna wait if the price is right.
Amz @ Aug 24th 2008 5:45AM
nice rhyming there.
Papa Midnight @ Aug 24th 2008 3:55PM
uh... it's already out. Got $3300?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220365
Or if you don't have $3300, there's another model for $3k.

rita hainsworth @ Aug 24th 2008 6:41AM
Ummmm....my, Asus looks good.
WiiFTW @ Aug 24th 2008 11:11AM
With the X4500, doesn't the B50A look like a really budget portable TF2 machine?
I think you could probably scrounge by with lowest settings on the default resolution and a decent fps.
Mike @ Aug 24th 2008 4:53PM
You guys are all wrong. These laptops haven't been out yet. The G70s you see on newegg and the G50s u see on Best Buy aren't the ROG versions while these new ones are.
Prestor John @ Aug 25th 2008 1:48AM
The B50A looks like a perfect update to my old as all hell m6bne. But couldn't they have discrete graphics?
