ASUS Eee PC 900HD hits the FCC, reveals little
Hey, remember when the Eee PC was announced, and everyone got all hot and bothered, and we couldn't wait for it to ship, and we couldn't wait to get it into our hands? Then remember how ASUS created so many annoying variations that it became almost impossible to pay attention? Well, pay attention -- the Eee PC 900HD has hit the FCC. Excited? Yeah, we thought so. Hit the read link to see what the label and undercarriage of your new supposedly-hard-drive-equipped netbook look like, and feel free to browse some SAR reports while you're there. Of course, this reveals nothing about the actual hardware save for the fact that this bottom casing is different from previous models, so... that's one thing.

Finally, a High Def netbook!
High Def? Not Hard Drive?
I hope to god when you said high def netbook it was sarcasm and not sheer dumbness and making yourself looking as intelligent as a tit.
I thought it was high-def at first, but then of course, I read the article.
@Thi mam(kris120890)
You do realize that it would only need a 1280x720 resolution to be "high def," right?
funny, i thought it meant "Huge Disappointment"
@Serial 8-Ball Mouse
You do realize that it would only need a 1024x768 (XGA) resolution to be "high def," right?
@LondonConsultant
Yeah but that's shady as hell high def. Extremely shady.
But hey even better - it's even less out of the realm of possibility that way.
zzzzzzzzzz Huh? Oh, Eee PC? NEXT!!!!! zzzzzzzzzzz
I could be wrong, but I think I've already seen this for sale in Myer in Australia. It was alongside the eee 900, but included a 30gig hard drive instead? I was somewhat surprised to find it there a few weeks ago.
Yep, it's already out in Australia. Same price too ($499).
So umm...when does the EEE-Car come out?.....

Come on Asus, rebrand it and bring it to North America!
so it's a 1000h with a smaller screen? ok....
Enough with these toys!
The Asus Eee PC! So many variations, there's bound to be one that suits you.
Unless, of course, you don't have that much money to spend.
let me guess, same specs as all the rest but with hdmi

Unless I see a price drop around the corner I will thank ASUS for bringing this segment alive, but go for the new Acer Aspire 1.
$399 for the newest model gets you 1G ram 160G HD, and FINALLY the 6cell battery. AOA150-1570
Still not sure on camera specs though, I have seen .3 and 1.3 on different sites
Now just to wait until they are available in the US
My bad the NEW model is AOA150-1447.
The 3cell 120g has been updated at Best Buy
Actually, Acer Aspire One is available at any BestBuy for $349.99 (all probably sold out by now i assume). It launched on 8/24 and i picked one up (there was actually a mini-crowd before the store opened up). 8.9" backlit LED screen (oh so good), 1GB RAM (512mb onboard/512mb Sodimm), 120GB HD, Atom 1.60ghz processor, and so forth.
the acer is a hideous piece of shabyy garbation
Nice ass!
Why does the FCC link take me to the Zune 120GB??
I like that they put the FCC logo on the bottom already.
looks like the bottom of my SNES
