Hands-on with Hama's iPod nano 4G case at IFA

Our spicy, siesta loving friends over at Engadget Spanish just nabbed a hands-on with Hama's "iPod nano 4G" case on the floor of IFA. The tip came in anonymously about an hour ago and sure enough, there it is, buried in a mountain of iPod accessories and sharing the same smooth arc of the Kevin Rose nano -- as it will from henceforth be known. That photo looks like a good shop. Whose I phone looks that good? seriously. another hoax as normal. That will probably be a knock off mp3 player that plays mpeg4's. we are all getting zigga'd.

I had one of those cases, or similar, for my 2nd gen Nano. Way too reflective..made it impossible to use..

I had a case similar to that for the 2nd gen Nano..it was way too reflective. I had to the case since the iPod was impossible to use with the case on.

You have a guy holding a piece of curved plastic in one photo, then a closeup of some packaging without showing what's in the package.

Not saying the nano won't be like the rumors, but this proves nothing.

Guys this rumor is totally fake!!
I live in Thailand and there is this store called MBK plaza and it is full of fake Chinese ipods that are exactly like this one!!
there arent just fake nanos but there are smaller ipod touches too, the fake touches are smaller and look like crap...

and they all are 1/4 of the real prices!!

How is this 'Nano 4.0' huge? It looks (slightly) smaller than the previous Nano's. Unless the person taking the picture has big hands...

On another note, I think the curved surface looks cool, but I'm worried about glare and click wheel functionality. But if Apple does add WiFi, then I'm buying one anyway!

Take another look. The 1st and 3rd photos are obviosly fakes. They are just floating on top of his hand. Especially the third photo.

This seems fake.
The cover's not flush.
You could sneak a 2nd generation nano and you wouldn't tell the difference.

apple, way 2 blend in with the beast vertical screen. everyone's doing it: zune, sansa, and um. others.

(at least headphones fit in it this time)

As a retail merchandiser, I view Apple's product changes a bit differently since they affect how I make money, too. The nano is hands down our best seller, and I stock twice as much shelf footage with cases and accessories for 3G nanos. A change in design is exciting as it can re-energize a brand or awareness, but I am not looking forward to discounting my entire stock of 3G devices, cases, and accessories to make way for the "new pod in town." It's especially depressing since I really hate the concept photos, and I don't think it will sell as well. The "fatter" 3G nano is a better fit in teen and adults hands, and turning the device sideways to watch videos is nauseating. Overall, I'm not happy... :(

I think that the new ipod nano looks incredibly good!
Its screen is awesome, the design is outstanding and we have the option to bye it with 16GB!

I love the color options, and the new case I'm ordering (though it only comes in classic black). They aren't even on their website yet, but I'm on the mailing list. They'll be shipping Tuesday!

I have the (red) ipod nano, got it when i brought my iMac,
it is hardly bigger then the previous nano, it has double the size screen, has a sexy interface and everything is easy and works like a charm.

i love the people saying it looks ugly... JEALOUSY?? lol ive owned the original ipods and many others, my dad has the white iphone, but my god this stlye is great for the Nano.
