Dell's Mini 9 now shipping, arriving on doorsteps everywhere

The headline pretty much sums it up -- it appears that Dell hasn't wasted any time getting the first batch of Mini 9's out from Round Rock (or China, or wherever), as the earliest of adopters have already had the pleasure of peeling away the shipping label and firing one up. Hit the read link for two unimaginative shots of the netbook on a dirty desk, but only after you've phoned up Dell in search of your own tracking number.

Inspiron mini 9. Ordered mine on 9/11. Ship was supposed to 2 weeks after that on 9/25. Checked order status 9/25 and saw ship date was moved back a week to 10/2. Checked on 10/2 and was changed to 10/9. Checked on 10/9 and was changed to 10/16. Hmmm, wonder what will happen when I check on 10/16. Oh yeah, and each time I have to call them to confirm delay or they will cancel. Talk about frustrating. Last Dell I'll ever buy.

Inspiron Mini9. i agree with mike. last time i ever buy a dell. the cs is nonexistent. its more of an option.. cancel the order or deal with the delays. I ordered mine on 9/17 and still haven’t received it yet. went through the weekly delays as well. garbage company.
