Can anyone tell me how these are backlit? Are the keys semi-transparent or is there just a light below the keys and the characters on the keyboard remain impossible to read (like my Saitek Eclipse ][)?
I'm thinking about ordering one and really want to know how the keyboard works.
This is sexy... for a PC. ;o)
Yes this is definitely priced for business...to most corps this is probably not too pricey especially when you consider how much a business class ticket from the east coast to asia costs. I recently went on a trip that put down $8000 on a round trip ticket. When you look at it that way, a $2500 dell is chump change.
Definitely priced for business and out of reach of most consumers. Many corps consider this not too expensive at all... a $2500 dell lappy is chump change to an $8000 biz class ticket from east coast to asia. Now if there was only a way to get some of that E4200 love....
Great to see the comment system still failing.
Not too pricy, indeed!

"system-on-a-chip subsystem consisting of a low-power ARM processor and flash memory that runs independent of your laptop's CPU and storage" for Latitude On!
So people are buying a laptop plus a Palm PDA in one machine. Think about the complexity and cost! So the price is not expensive, really.
Are the person hit the idea and the one decided to execute it genius or fool? the market and customer will tell DELL.
