LG set to release WWAN-enabled X110 Momo netbook
LG doesn't look to be pushing the envelope all that hard with its netbook entry -- are you sick of 10-inch screens, 1.6GHz Atom processors, and Windows XP yet? -- but the company's X110 Momo looks to up the ante ever so slightly with a built-in HSUPA modem and a slightly reconfigured keyboard with bigger arrow keys and a full-size right shift key. No pricing or availability yet, but we'll take LG at its word when it says the Momo is "coming soon."

Are they all called Momo or only the pink one?

Momo... like the racing brand Momo?
KilgoreTrout @ Sep 29th 2008 11:28AM
It's not a racing firm , momo is a design firm that designs also racing car accessoriesbesides bags, pens, calendars, and probably now netbooks too.
What i don't get is the difference between this LG momo and the LG X110, just the name I guess.
The base seems a carbon copy of the MSI wind but I must admit that it's the best looking minilappie seen until now.
It's not gonna make me sell my WIND anyway, the integrated GPS (wich I can add any time I feel the need) it's not worth the double price sticker.

"are you sick of 10-inch screens, 1.6GHz Atom processors, and Windows XP yet?"
I am not sick of them because many models seem to have 1 huge downside.
Problems with past models:
-not coming with 6 cell battery or having the option
-charging too much $$$
-poor design
-too hot
-poor quality
-keyboards are poorly laid out
-very small hard drive options 4 - 8GB

You should check out the new release Acer Aspire one. 6 Cell, 160GB HDD, $399 price tag, exactly the opposite of what you just listed as the netbook downside. Now stop complaining BITC.....!

Why do you need to talk if you don't know anything about it?
My Medion MiniAkoya ( a MSI wind rebrand) has 120GB hd, integrated webcam and mic, wifi, bluetooth, 2 GB ddr2, XP sp3, Lots of good software (Nero suite, ULEAD, MS office, MS works etc) it's a real looker (thin, and all ivory white or alu& shiny black) and after I bought a DVT-B TV tuner, a minuscule and fast dvd burner(the new Plextor needs only USB ports & no external power bricks) and a & cell battery for 40 bucks, thanks to it's surprisingly good 10" screen, it's the Ideal PC for media editing and enjoyng on the move.
Bluetooth headphones and portable speakers make it even better, and it works seamlessly with my 3G modem from my Nokia N95.
NO , I'll never ever buy anything bigger than 12".
If I'm at home I'm gonna use a desktop or HTPC anyway.
I have no doubts that this is the future of laptops.

media editing on a 10" screen?
Frogger @ Sep 29th 2008 12:17PM
They are offering a 10" Aspire?
futurepastnow @ Sep 29th 2008 12:15PM
Except for the arrow keys on the keyboard, that really looks an awful lot like a rebadged MSI Wind.
bebop @ Sep 29th 2008 8:41PM
Funny, I was looking at it thinking that they look alot like the Aspire One. I guess there are only so many things you can do with the case design. This LG iteration does look pretty classy, though, whoever the parents are...

I could be mistaken but wasn't MSI the company that released a great product and then people were complaining that the parts in their model was not "as advertised" (Sentelic touchpad).
