It seems most people are posting comments about netbook buyers being too dumb to use Linux, I don't think that is the problem. Linux is so easy to use today that anybody can use it.
The problem is that these OEMs put broken janky Linux distros on the machines, and then don't fully test them to make sure they work properly.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.
