LG debuts 13.3-inch XNOTE P310 premium laptop

LG may not have strayed to far from the outward appearance of the XNOTE P300 with its new P310 model, but it looks to have given the "premium" laptop a decent enough upgrade under the hood, with it now finally getting bumped up to the Centrino 2 platform. That upgrade also includes a speedier 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo T9400 processor, 3GB of DDR3 memory, 2GB of Intel Turbo Memory a 320GB hard drive, and some decent enough NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics, not to mention the same LED-backlit 13.3-inch display as before. No word on a price just yet, but we're guessing it won't be too far off the €1,599 (or just over $2,000) its predecessor demanded.

I consider myself fairly adept at finding why things can be humorous to others, even when I don't exactly find it funny but I fail to with your comment. How was this comment even a slight bit funny to you? It's not, not to anyone, probably not yourself but that brings me back to square one -- why would you even bother to post it? Why would you want to even take the viewing pleasure of two fine young Korean beauties and put some stupid Jackie Chan reference to it and theft.
Really, just consider what you did and think how stupid that was and try not to make history repeat itself.
No really, your comment is probably one of the worst I've read on Engadget in a long, long time and we all know that's saying quite a bit.
do you check and make sure no ones around before you watch your 'jackie chan' movies?
i found it funny
No. He calls all his friends over for a circle jerk when mom is at work.
I know, because, I used to be one of his friends.
GO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS! :-/
If Jackie Chan was as hot as those two chicks I'd already own the blu-ray Jackie Chan collection.
I think it's a reference to Family Guy, but still far from funny.
Good, I will gladly take the one on the left. Although the one on the right does look like she would be more of a freak...
Confucius say, laptop model has shield when see you coming
I have to go with left.
Engadget should put a poll whenever there's multiple hot models asking which one we'd prefer :D
Both.
I don't get it. Why don't they make 13.3" screen laptops with 14.1" prices? A 14.1" laptop can got for as low as $500. However every 13.3" screen laptop I've seen is over $1000. Does a 13.3 incher have to be so beefy? Isn't there a market for lower specs at this screen size?
It's the extra work to make the laptop smaller. At this point a 14" laptop is big, cheap and easy to make. Cooling is pretty easy, and normal 14" laptops are still pretty thick. When you drop to 13" you also get thinner, now there's not enough room for heat sinks and your board designs might have to move to be more complex to squeeze all the parts on there. Smaller also means buying smaller, higher tolerance components, in a bigger laptop there's room to add parts, in a smaller laptop every part must be that much smaller, or left out, a small part is more expensive than an equal part but in a larger package, times the typical 300 parts on a motherboard even 1/10 of a cent adds up.
On top of all that, this has a very fast processor in it. The 14" notebooks with low prices use really cheap parts, even processors. The processor in this thing is a very high end one, it probably costs 3x as much as the normal 2GHZ T-series so common in the $500 market, plus the increased costs of memory and other parts to make it work.
The one good thign about these LG laptops is that they have decent graphic chips in them (9600GT). Now if only other manufacturers would follow LGs lead *cough*Dell*cough*
I don't know why people want the one on the right. The girl on the left is just better.
Non-asian guys have far different taste in asian girls than asian guys do. It's kind of a good thing, though.
If you think this is cool check out the German version of this notebook:

wow thats pretty nice
what laptop?
I swear the chick on the right looks like a female version of Jackie Chan. Uhh!
This is great, I feel I would like to buy one when I get to Beijing for Christmas, P300 was much cheaper there, I think it will be the same pricing strategy for P310. I had two laptops without optical drive and they are quite practical.
What r u talkin' about, you filthy Chinese? You gonna buy one when you get to Beijing Ing???? LOL.....
Everyone knows LG is a Korean company. And I doubt LG would introduce those new beauties into such sh!thole under-developed markets like China, India and/or Africa.
My 2 cents.
Chinese will just make up a new brand called "IG" or "LQ" or whatever to mock LG...lol...Korean chicks are way hotter than mainlanders...
Nice. I'll take both.
Oh hey, they have laptops too! Bonus.
I already have a notebook so I really don't need another computer, but I'll take those two laptops!
FOOK MI???? FOOK YU!!!!! :-)
To stay on topic however,
Decent laptops, I might pick one up, the specs are not bad , price is a little high though.
What r u talkin' about, you filthy Chinese? You gonna buy one when you get to Beijing la???? LOL..... Beijing is an inferior Chinese city filled with noisy ChingChongChang people, HORNS, and the world's worst pollutions...
I know these insecure Chinese are always trying to CHEAT people around globe on Asians, but that's way too overboard. You Chinese really need to get a life and realize the fact no single Asian community wants to be associated with you Chinese...
BTW, everyone knows who LG is, and is one of the Korean electronics giants along with Samsung, and I seriously doubt LG would introduce those new beauties into such sh!thole under-developed markets like China, India and/or Africa.
My 2 cents.
Debuts? This model has been advertised on www.notebook.de for nearly 2 months already. Where have you been Engadget?
