Want to get a jump on your holiday shopping or find a couple of insane bargains to keep for yourself? A few retailers are offering what they've dubbed "Black Friday-style" price cuts for tomorrow -- Saturday, November 8th. Walmart's got a sweet 15.4-inch Compaq CQ-139WM (with 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive) laptop for $298, in addition to a PlayStation 2 bundled with a $30 WalMart gift card for $129, and a
PlayStation 3 with a $100 gift card for $399. Over at Kmart they're offering up a rad 32-inch Sylvania LCD HDTV for $439.99 (they usually go for for $550). They also have several deals for Sunday, November 9th, including the Wii Fit for $89.99. Is it safe to assume that every Friday (not to mention Saturday and Sunday) until Christmas will be "black"? Couldn't one use the $100 gift card towards the purchase of a game or two? I don't see why people are hating on this PS3 deal. Although I usually try to avoid shopping at Wallyworld, I may have to stop in today and see if they happen to have any PS3s left.
Just got a laptop...
formatted both partitions and reinstalled vista cause i didn't want to mess with the bloat ware it came with.
now I'm regretting it pretty badly; the drivers are gone; can't use hotkeys, the scroll of the pad, and pad off button.
Gonna check their website once vista's done RE-RE-Installing. (used my desktop's CDkey by accident).
so.. watch out for that..!
I checked out the Sylvania at a local KMart this morning. It was still marked at regular price. Store manager and department manager said there was no markdown on the TV.
I never understood the mystique of the Black Friday stuff. I look at the prices of items & never see any sort of amazing bargains. "greatest hits" games are still $20, etc.
