4 lbs?!? I was excited about this until I got to the bottom of the spec list.
Make this 2.5 lbs. and you've got yourself a deal.
Peter @ Nov 19th 2008 4:27PM
and you think they would price it $699 if it was 2.5 lb?
btw
why do all the 12 inchers have to be like 12 inch-wide when the body can actually fit with a 13 inch screen
and they are even called ultraportable

Glad to see that Engadget's writers aren't as homophobic and sexist as their readers.

Now, now ... let's not forget racist, ignorant, low-brow, delinquent, underachieving, maladjusted ... dang, only six derogatory terms ... work is frying my brain today.

I was wondering there if I was the "evil" guy, but I didn't even intend to place any homosexual pretext on my joke... Trying to stay PC for you guys.... hehe.

I was gung-ho on a Samsung NC10 or Wind... now I may think otherwise. TV tuner would be pretty sweet!

I like the blue and black. The pentium tho sucks. I may jump tho if i can get it a bit cheaper.

It's too bad there isn't a mobile 45nm process Pentium Dual Core. It might have made this laptop worth considering, but buying a 65nm CPU is too last gen.

Looks like a revamped PR200 (YA edition) to me. I got the old blue PR200 a few months back, kicked Vista off it and it now runs Gentoo quite nicely. If this follows in it's predecessor's footsteps, it should run your choice of Linux very well.
a_roast_chicken @ Nov 19th 2008 9:05PM
Wow I'm totally interested. I would get the green one.
It *totally* matches my pants.
crsh @ Nov 20th 2008 6:49AM
Err.. unless I'm mistaken, a dual-core "Pentium" is a very old CPU and one that's terribly inefficient for portable devices; one of those misprints perhaps, do they actually mean dual-core Atom (which would fit with the price tag)?
Ben @ Nov 21st 2008 3:04PM
The Pentium name has been reused for the bottom of the line Core2Duos i believe. Looks like a nice little machine is it coming to UK?
Silentks @ Nov 21st 2008 12:59AM
if its atom, i would go for it but.... if its just dual core.. might have second thought.... Anyone know if its available in Canada?
