Mouse Computer delivers QX9300-powered NEXTGEAR M750WX1 gaming laptop
It has been a hot minute since we've heard from our pals at Mouse Computer, but it has apparently ditched those netbook-esque ways in favor of the other extreme judging by the monstrously potent NEXTGEAR-NOTE M750WX1. The 17-inch goliath touts a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 processor, 4GB of RAM, NVIDIA's GeForce 9800M GTX (1GB), a 120GB SSD, WiFi, a slew of ports and even a Logicool G5 LaserMouse. Too bad the ¥349,000 ($3,769) price tag is on the wrong side of awesome.

Not that this is bad, but it looks like another Clevo M570.

it shoulda come with a iCore7...the price is way too high for a machine with these kinda specs.

When will they bring out a reasonably priced gaming laptop? The components in these rigs simple do not add up to the price. No sale.

Sexy specsy.

Logicool G5? Is that a KIRF, a typo, or am I missing some form of sarcasm?
imarco @ Dec 11th 2008 8:39AM
Here in Japan, Logitech's products are marketed as Logicool because of trademark issues with Logitec, a Japanese brand.
DBrim @ Dec 11th 2008 8:43AM
Ah, so none of the above. Thank you for the info!

I think the right concept of gaming laptop is to build a light, small one that allows you to play some good but old games for a long time, but not a heavy shit consumes all the power within 1 hour.

What I like about Mouse Computer is that they don't sell you the OS if you don't want it, so you can put linux or XP from the get-go.
