Engadget NYC reader meetup, December 19th: new giveaways, more info

By now you should have heard about the Engadget NYC reader meetup / holiday party taking place TOMORROW, Friday, December 19th. If you're not clued in to all the happenings, this should bring you up to speed. We'll have participation (and giveaways) from the following companies: Nokia, Microsoft (Zune and Xbox), T-Mobile, Palm, HP, SanDisk, Peek, VIA, Sling, Bug Labs, Neat Receipts, Panasonic, Livescribe, Rhapsody, and Make.
Some new additions (to the already large stack of items): VIA has just handed over an Artigo A2000, Peek is going to be flooding the event with a whopping 12 handhelds to give out (celebrating its 12 days of Peekmas), Bug Labs is offering a BUGBundle, and Livescribe has provided us with a Pulse (courtesy of Target)! And remember, those are just a few of the goods on offer.
Remember, feel free to bring any hacks, mods, or other generally awesome tech you want to show off to us and other Engadget readers -- you don't get the chance too often!

I will be there. Few hours early just in case. With a grin from ear to ear. And tears of joy.
I wish I can go to these reader meetups, but I live in the midwest :( . Can you guys come do at least one meetup at Chicago?
how many free drink tix do we get?
You, Sir, need to learn to read... The information in question is clearly stated in the article.
"Free food, and free drink tickets for the first 500 people"
How the fuck does this answer my question? Apologies if it's stated somewhere else and I'm not seeing it.
what's the dress code for this shindig? does anyone know?
Naked obv.
This so going to be so cool and my age is stoping me from getting in guys we have to have an event for 16 and older
Ok, I'm going to have to agree with elloh7 here. THAT PSHOP REFLECTION SUCKS SMELLY DONKEY BALLS. Please please please please please please fix it.
For starters, REFLECTIONS AREN'T IN PERSPECTIVE, and on glossy surfaces (like that tile) they're not blurry. Just transparent. Bad image work just gets my hackles up...stupid myspace designers...everyone thinks they know how to use photoshop....hehe I kind of like being the grouch.
Does it have to be in New York City? It's a long ways to the center of the universe...

I guess I'll go first
Hi, My name is TheDesolate1 and I'm a gadgetholic.
I've been struggling with an unnatural obsession with everything on the bleeding edge of tech. When I was a fetus I was trying to figure out what ultrasound device model was being used on me. I remember when I first got my hands on a duck hunt zapper as a little toddler and I tried to hold up a game shop with it for a walkman player, when i got a iriver SlimX mp3 cd player and watched everyone drool over it and when I bought a iRiver H320 before apple even had a color ipod and then it DIED and killed 14 GB of my precious music . My life has never been the same since. Sometimes I spend days reading many reviews on products to find the perfect one and then wait for them to pop up on slickdeals to go in for the kill. I have been burned as a beta tester on new gadgets so many times I dont even bother anymore. I need help.
Next Person..............

Damn it! Chicago! I live near Chicago! That's why you're changing the location to Chicago!
Snows started, any news or changes we need to know about?
I'll be there... its good to work in midtown.
Will people still line up even if its snowing????
Will cameras be restricted? I'm not press, just I tend to carry an SLR around when I'm in the city and I really don't trust coat-check.
Right now Its pretty crappy outside in nyc, Its a lush fest and raining as i type this feel bad for all those who are lined up
might head out in 45min
Outside in line now. Had my picture taken.
Please change the date. I was trying to leave 10mins ago and I really underestimated the weather.
Can't move the car and I wont make it in time with the train/bus system.
I highly doubt there will be worries of topping the 1000 person limit.
