WeeP5 makes other Wiimote gun mods cry home to their mamas
If your Wiimote-gun hybrid lacks a little bit of that "I would shut down an airport having this in my carry-on luggage" panache, we suggest you check out WeeP5, a toy MP5 chock-full of motion control. To be honest, we're most enamored by the setup of the above picture, as the modded armament rests lovingly over the heads of a young couple, against a picture of men in togas, and just under a VHS copy of The Lost World in German -- it's just so beautiful. In case you're wondering: B button is the trigger, A button is under the foregrip, 1 and 2 are on opposite sides near the front, the D-pad and Wii remote are jutting out of the left side, and the +, -, and home buttons are on the top just above the ammo clip. Hit up the read link for full DIY instructions.

Your mama....
I mean! Umm..... Epic Win?
RoboDan @ Dec 27th 2008 11:18PM
To the owner of said mod...
Dude, your girlfriend is hot.
P.S. Nice VHS tapes
TheWakeUpCall @ Dec 27th 2008 9:57PM
I too keep a rifle replica next to romantic pictures of me and my partner. Reminds me that I have to keep her in line.
Flashpoint @ Dec 27th 2008 10:21PM
TOO bad Wii doesn't have a game worth playing with this.
You'd look like such a clown holding an MP5 replica and playing the standard line of wii crap. This is something I'd expect to use in a Rainbow 6 rail shooter.
vvtopkar @ Dec 27th 2008 11:27PM
@Flashpoint,
Sorry to have to bring this up, but you made your comment because you play Rainbow 6 on your iPhone right? With graphics far superior to your Wii, right?
Right....
I LOVE THE CAPS LOCK KEY @ Dec 27th 2008 11:28PM
No win, unless you point the Wiimote gun at your opponent and say to him- up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, bang, bang..
Techie @ Dec 27th 2008 7:26PM
Look damn close to a real MP5
bokeen @ Dec 27th 2008 8:07PM
Of course does. An MP5 replica toy gun was used to create it.
conor @ Dec 27th 2008 7:28PM
Epic Win.
Jeff @ Dec 27th 2008 11:53PM
Except for the copy of Amelie sitting right beneath the weapon, yeah.
Andie @ Dec 28th 2008 7:30AM
The mod is a winner, but other than that, you're surely kidding, right? Amélie is just about the only factor in the picture that makes me think there is still some hope for humanity.
boolean22 @ Dec 28th 2008 3:48PM
The Hannibal VHS right of Amelie sets the Universe back to where it belongs!
Riley @ Dec 28th 2008 6:14PM
I think it would have been more appropriate if the A-Team VHS was the one right underneath it
Shinigami @ Dec 27th 2008 7:31PM
I'd love to have a mouse with this kind of mod. And force feedback when I pull the trigger...
gahahha @ Dec 27th 2008 7:37PM
i wonder if this works with PSP so i could use it anywhere
scott @ Dec 27th 2008 8:37PM
read the title..."wiimote"
but yea, kinda get your joke.
Derek @ Dec 27th 2008 7:37PM
It's a magazine, not a clip.
Derek Bradley @ Dec 27th 2008 8:23PM
I hate people like you, no one cares.
Bobs @ Dec 27th 2008 8:27PM
I agree with Derek, clip makes it sound like a toy.
AVG @ Dec 27th 2008 8:30PM
...it is a toy.
Badger_badger_badger @ Dec 28th 2008 12:24AM
Thank god, I was about to say this myself.
Wwhat @ Dec 28th 2008 12:45AM
Magazine eh, like Vogue and Cosmo.
Raheem @ Dec 27th 2008 7:42PM

We really couldn't find a better setting for this photo? Graduation champagne glass, high school sweetheart picture, fun pic with the buddies, machine of wii death.
Phoenix @ Dec 27th 2008 7:46PM
l love how the read link is "Http:///"
Mobius_1 @ Dec 28th 2008 6:56AM
Yep, I just totally love how Engadget read links always works so well...
webterractive @ Dec 27th 2008 7:49PM
Oh man, this thing would be cool if you can use it in Halo 3 with an aiming mechanism like that of House of the Dead, then you would kick A$$
Mike @ Dec 27th 2008 7:58PM
Halo franchise = the run-as-slow-as-possible-but-i-can-still-jump-high-totally-POS series.
If you're still playing Halo X, you really need to stop being a fanboy and realize there are MUCH better things out there to be playing.
CleverEndeavor @ Dec 27th 2008 8:02PM
@ Mike:
I have to disagree, halo is one of the best games ever made.
Look at how much people are still playing the halo series today
Also, halo 2 and 3 multiplayers are still very popular.
this explains why your thinking is flawed to me.
Ian @ Dec 27th 2008 8:03PM
You can't let someone else enjoy a game that they like without going out of your way to shit on him for it? He likes it, you don't. Maybe you like games that some other people don't. Live with it.
Shinigami @ Dec 27th 2008 8:04PM
There is a much better thing than playing virtual games - having sex with girls.
At least try flirting with them!!!
jordan @ Dec 27th 2008 8:29PM
@cleverendeavor
When all they've been introduced to is a pile of garbage, they think the least rotten banana peel is treasure.
I prefer something that requires a bit more speed and accuracy when it comes to FPS games, and a little more freedom than 2 analog sticks for movement...I guess that's why I play PC games (not Halo), and save console games for Rock Band, Mario Party, DDR, etc
AVG @ Dec 27th 2008 8:31PM
"halo is one of the best games ever made"
Don't play a lot of games, do you?
Jesse S @ Dec 27th 2008 9:10PM
Just because something is popular does not mean it is good.
How many iPods have been sold? And how many better and cheaper alternatives have there been?
CleverEndeavor @ Dec 27th 2008 9:34PM
@ AVG,
i said "one of the best games ever made" not the best ever.
i personally think that many games are great, on the same level as halo 3.
AVG @ Dec 27th 2008 9:46PM
It is a good game. A very good game. However, it is nowhere near one of the best ever. Not by a long shot. Putting Halo in the same category as Symphony of the Night or Mario 64 or Final Fantasy III is a real stretch.
poematik14 @ Dec 27th 2008 11:53PM
Im sorry, but the game play mechanics in the Halo series, especially Halo 3, are second to none for first person shooters. Also, the online integration is incredible.
T Hom @ Dec 28th 2008 12:49AM
I think the sales of Halo 3 speak for themselves. It holds a number of records for the industry. Of course it is one of the best games of all time. I can think of a bunch of FPS's that are a ton of fun to play, but Halo is just as good or better than them all.
AVG @ Dec 28th 2008 4:40AM
"I think the sales of Halo 3 speak for themselves. It holds a number of records for the industry. Of course it is one of the best games of all time."
People like you are so fucking stupid. Mass consumerism does not indicate quality. Would you like a copy of Ironman for PS2 instead of Valkyrie Profile? Or can I point you to the Meet The Spartans DVD at your local retailer now?
CleverEndeavor @ Dec 28th 2008 11:35AM
@ AVG
I understand what you mean. but, Halo is a very good game, maybe on the same level as some mario games.
So, my original reasoning is if critics like it, people like it, and gamers like it therefore it is a good game.
SummerBoy @ Dec 27th 2008 7:50PM
sigh...
playing with toys in times like this..go to work people..!
your country need your sacrifice !
Shinigami @ Dec 27th 2008 8:06PM
Go be a sacrifice for something you don't see, can't touch and don't need anyways.
Its the same as saying "go die".
You want to be a sacrifice? Stop spending money and start buying stocks ))))
jordan @ Dec 27th 2008 8:31PM
reading the comments of computing/electronics-related news sites...you goto work, too, then?
