Seriously, what is the point of this? No matter how hard you try, you cannot make laptops play games decently. Trying just ends leaves you with this horrid mess. This "laptop" is nothing of the sort: the screen makes a huge size footprint, a trackpad will never compare to a mouse, the thing will invariably feel like a sack of bricks, and the battery will be sucked dry in an hour if you actually want to play games.
The idealistic visions of desktop replacements are gone. Leave these overweight monstrosities in graveyard with eMachines and go back to making reasonable laptops and proper desktops.
Can you play Left4Dead... IN BED? Seriously, gaming, or computing in general while horizontal is extremely comfortable and worth ANY price to a lazy person such as myself. My Clevo is almost 2 years old and I can play everything out there (GTA IV kicks its ass, but that's a crappy port), usually on 1680X1050. And I also game with it on my lap. Chassis doesn't burn even after several hours and I only need my G9 and headphones there's too much noise.
That, sir, is totally false. I have had 2 consecutive gaming laptops, the Gateway P-6831FX and the Asus G50VT-X1, both of which are not too huge, not too expensive and play new games quite well, and the current generation FX series play games even better.
If you're on the road for your job and you take your entire desktop computer with you so you can game, then there's more wrong with you than the guys who'd buy this laptop and plug it in and use a USB mouse just like all the other not stupid people.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
