MSI's
Wind U100 had a good run, but now it's time for the
U120 to take over. We caught wind of this one just
a few days back, but once the show floor opened we were finally able to feast our eyes on one. We've gotta say -- it looks mighty good, so feel free to have a look in the gallery below to see if you agree.

Two tone scheme, regardless of who's making it, is heartbreakingly ugly for me.
thequinox @ Jan 8th 2009 7:44PM
I know what you mean, make it all black please.
gonintendo @ Jan 8th 2009 7:12PM
I see what you did there.

if you end up buying one, don't drop it...
...you might break wind.
auricom @ Jan 12th 2009 7:51AM
when you're done with it, please pass the wind..
zbot @ Jan 8th 2009 7:23PM
why do they waste space with a vga port?
gonintendo @ Jan 8th 2009 7:36PM
Why wouldn't they waste space with a vga port?
ran6110 @ Jan 8th 2009 7:39PM
Well, when I'm at home at at my desk I plug in a full size monitor.
zbot @ Jan 8th 2009 8:44PM

Andrew Moulton @ Jan 21st 2009 4:22PM

Sam @ Jan 8th 2009 7:33PM
whats the battery life on this?
Jose @ Jan 8th 2009 7:33PM
the assembling quality of MSI's notebooks are always one of the greatest.
Ian @ Jan 8th 2009 7:36PM
The whole bottom of the laptop is 4 total pieces. Keyboard, motherboard, top piece, bottom piece. Thats all. My Wind U100 is very solid, despite being apart multiple times.
Tony @ Jan 29th 2009 1:08AM
I totally agree with you Jose, material and assembling quality of MSI's notebooks are one of the greatest, especially if we compare with Asus. Look VDO in this link, http://www.bestdealsonar.com/15-off-msi-wind-u120-020us-10-inch-netbook/

Was holding out for this, but the two-tone scheme is killing me! I want all white or all black please.
dan @ Jan 8th 2009 7:51PM
As long as I keep frantically upgrading my U100 I can perhaps stave off the feeling of envy that this evokes.
John @ Jan 8th 2009 7:58PM
Too true. It was a cheap initial purchase but the mod-friendliness keeps running up the bill!
I love my wind. Dual-boot OS X and XP ftw.
Zapp @ Jan 8th 2009 8:38PM
I like the black and white. Reminds me of adidas.
Cute Balding Mexican Guy @ Jan 8th 2009 8:40PM
How much is this thing? Prices aren't rising are they? Netbooks started out about $450 and are now as high as $800. Defeats the purpose and all. Anyhow, very interested... Two-tone and all.
"caught wind" hur hur.
7egend @ Jan 8th 2009 8:51PM
Did Mr. Blurry Cam take these pictures?
Brian @ Jan 9th 2009 12:58AM
I thought the original specs reported here on the 'gadget was Wireless B/G/N AND 6-cell battery
Rob @ Jan 8th 2009 10:43PM
Ugh. Someone should just shoot photos in auto mode...
Willis @ Jan 9th 2009 2:50AM

Bryce @ Jan 9th 2009 12:35PM
I hate the keyboard layout with the extra key between the left shift - Z key and the extra key by the vertical enter key.
ARod @ Jan 10th 2009 10:43PM
Awesome~Classy, Rich looking. Soooooo much better looking then the kiddie/cheap looking u100
Redant @ Jan 10th 2009 11:46PM

OK, I pre-ordered one from Frostycomputers for $379--but no bluetooth or wireless N. They have some wirelessN/bluetooth in stock for $449 http://www.frostycomputers.com/product_p/u120-020us.htm The "owner" is an auth dealer of MSI's and says mine should be shipped on Monday!! :) Unfortunately, 2 drawbacks: The one with 3G won't be available in the US for 2-3 months and the owner of Frosty's said that they're impossible to upgrade to 2G RAM. :(
He's got a video on his site that shows the "upgrades" to the casing, etc.
Looking forward to flying with my Wind!!! ;)

It's really cool you guys got a digital SLR, now it would be great to learn how to use it. Do a little research on something call "depth of field", you'll see, it's great stuff
