Samsung publishes NC20 user manual, new images surface
Eager to get your digits onto an NC20 keyboard? Sadly, we can't help you there, but we can point out something to whet your appetite until shipment day dawns. Samsung's UK branch has hosted up the NC20 user manual, and while it doesn't really offer too many nuggets that we weren't already aware of, it still proves that this here netbook will arrive with the oh-so-promising 1.3GHz VIA Nano U225 CPU. Additionally, you'll find a 12.1-inch WXGA display (1,280 x 800), VIA Chrome 9 HC3 graphics, a multicard reader, Ethernet / USB 2.0 ports, optional WiFi / Bluetooth and your choice of HDD or SSD. Check out the links below for more on the hardware details and a new load of press shots, and start saving you pennies now, 'cause early estimates put this one at around $500 or so.

"Around $500" is pretty good, considering that NC10 costs $480 at Newegg (list is $499).
I was really thinking about pulling the trigger on the Newegg's NC10 for that price. I saw this and now in a debate with my self.
I wonder how the battery life will be with a bigger screen and via. Maybe a 8 cell battery ???
I picked up my white NC10 from amazon for just over 450 and the battery life really is eight hours.
There is no U225 CPU, probably a U2350 (1.3Ghz) or U2400 (1.3+Ghz)
feeling sorry for dell
If I was a Stormtrooper, I wouldn't twice.
Even if I wasn't a stormtrooper, I wouldn't twice either!!
Hope its as good in terms of battery as NC10 , already has larger screen resolution which I've been waiting for and I'm buying it! When do u think its coming out?
netbooks are gettin huge. This should be the absolute max size.
So how is the VIA CPU compared to the Atom? What about those VIA graphics?
Having decided against getting an Apple financing agreement to fund my Macbook pangs, I've decided to look into getting a netbook. I was kind of hoping Apple would announce one at Macworld this year, but nevermind. I was going to go and grab an NC10, but the NC20 certainly looks like an improvement over what is already a wonderful machine. I look forward to its release.
Looks rather big for a 'netbook'.. At that size, I might as well get a X200 or something cheaper..like from system76.
How can you tell how big it is with those pics alone, genius???
Wow, that looks smexy. It's mine.
That via processor looks great... but man, chrome graphics? yuck
I think a via nano + nvidia 9400m would be a killer combo
the price probably will fall when dell mini 10 get out
The Photo comp looks like a Tie-Fighter. I'm a nerd.
"optional WiFi"
The word "optional" has got to be a mistake here!
2 important questions:
How does this CPU compare the ubiquitous 1.6GHz Atom?
Does this chip do Aero?
We've been discussing the NC20 in great detail over at SammyNetbook.com (an unofficial forum for NC10 and NC20 owners). In general the NC10 owners aren't too excited as it doesn't really appeal to those that wanted a great machine of a smaller size. I think it is looking pretty slick myself and look forward to reporting back what the Nano is capable of.
