Dell's Inspiron 15 ready for ordering, consumption
We heard that Dell's Inspiron 15 would go on sale later this month, and apparently that means now. Dell's latest 15.6-incher is up for order as we speak, and as expected, $699 gets you in the door. Those with extra cash to burn can upgrade to 4GB of RAM, a Blu-ray drive, 320GB of hard drive space and a 9-cell battery. So, you in or what?

1. FAIL FAIL
2. Its not that hard to do late at night. At all. most traffic comes through the US (i think) to engadget so the earliest it could be for you is 10:30, while for others its 1 or 4 in the morning.
Thanks for the lesson. And the extra pointless post :p
isnt on dell.co.uk
dell sucks, if you have hdmi, esata, gigabit and other new technologies you have to spend a ton of money, they should just include those things on the inspiron 15, they'd sell loads!
My point exactly, and IMHO they costs no more than one thumb & index fingerful of axillary hairs, only it's Dell......who makes everything difficult.....
wooppdeeefreaking do...another 15inch laptop to join the ranks..bout as interesting as watching Phil Schiller give a keynote at MACWORLD
The only option for a video card is Intel's X4500 GMA? And a top of the line Inspiron 15 comes out to just over $1100.
No thanks, I'll stick with my Thinkpad T500.
dude! you're gettin a dell!
can some1 give me a link to the config page of it cuz all i see is the old inspiron 1525's... i dont see where it is...
Sounds like a decent machine, and people going back to won't be confused because there is no Ubuntu option XD But there isn't really much that sets it apart from other 15 inch laptops
Wow, I've never seen so many people bitch about having a choice for a laptop that they won't buy.
I don't see why anyone wouldn't just want the far superior Studio 15 for the same price. Call me crazy.
Would you mind explaining why the Studio 15 is so much better? Not trying to be a prick, just curious, I mean the physical appearance is a bit different but under the hood doesn't seem a whole lot different. Thanks in advance.
to hbot:
it starts around $700 and you also start with a 250 gig hard drive, 2.0 giga hertz processor, and 3 gig's of ram.
Not in.
I saving my $ for Adamo Dell...
Please hurry.
I'm sure Dell's hired a few, new good designers.
The new XPS and Adamo are AWESOME to look at. This isn't half bad either, compared to the old dells.
wow, cheapified, not good, should have built up o 1525 and kept good features, now theres less color choices, no hdmi, and thicker too!
I just checked out this laptop and it's not thicker than the 1525 at all. If it is thicker, it's by a fraction of an inch and isn't noticeable. I'm going to be purchasing one after checking it out, because I really like my 1525 but there was an accident involving water. As for the 15, I appreciate that they took a lot of the frills out, the laptop looks very clean and simple, which is exactly what I want when I'm doing things on the screen. The lack of hdmi isn't really a problem, I don't know very many people who hook their laptop up to a bigger tv or monitor.
