Dell Adamo to hit the streets in the second half of 2009?
If the "reliable source" that spoke to Digitimes is, well, reliable, it looks like Foxconn has landed the Dell Adamo gig. According to the article, the sleek and stylish device is in sample production as we speak, but won't enter volume production until the second half of 2009 -- to the tune of about 400,000 units. Of course, this flies in the face of Dell's statement at the CES unveil, where a company spokesperson said that the thing would be out in the first half of this year -- and that's not the only contradiction here, as Foxconn's Edmund Ding has stated that "he has no idea what the hell anybody is talking about." (OK, so we paraphrased that last bit).

Apple makes good stuff with a great following. If you can afford it.
For those of us not using mommy's visa that's a factor.
Looking at the article about the macbook equipped like a base model inspiron for twice the price reminds me of that...(woo 2/120 and core 2 for 999? Can't I get a 1525 for $599 with way more???)
Dell ain't perfect by any stretch and sure it might be a clone of great design
and os x will run on it...
I'm wondering about Jobs replacement myself, the wrong guy and there won't be an Apple if CNBC is to be believed.
Banned. You know why.
Guys, if they asked 2k for this, it's not gonna get sold. They are gonna have to be cheaper than Apple's cause Mac's got the aura and all. I'm watching this product and hope that my 9400 holds up until I can choose between this and the Mac lappies. Personally, I think this machine looks pretty slick. And my Dell's have all been as reliable as hell. I currently have 28 (26desktops and two laptops) of them running in 2 offices and home.... some of them are 5 years old and still chugging along reliably. But I do have a 24" iMac that I do dearly love, and would not mind an aluminum mac laptop...
Nice copied Mac screen
i thought Adamo was a brand not a product.
that computer is tired! Dell has nothing to bring to the table but moving massive amounts of computers so MS can get that licensing cash.
i hope this has specs better or equal to the studio xps 13, if so then i am definitly sold.
*fingers crossed*
finally i can replace my mac air with a windows runnig PC
when i glanced at this picture i actually thought apple had released a new black macbook!
the curved edges, the identical black border of the glossy screen, the trackpad and keys, and the placement of the logo.
the screen hinge is a little unsightly though... I just checked the photos of the silver aluminium one, theyre like slightly unidentical twins.
I'm not sure why people are comparing this thing to a macbook air though, its most akin to the regular unibody macbook with the thickness and general design.
I hope the specs are pretty damn good for such an expensive PC notebook, and one coming from Dell.
It should be out earlier. It's already advertised on Dell.de ...
I think it is pricy ( way over priced) I better bet on MSI wind 15 hours battery last.
