I highly doubt wal-mart is going to save you 44 dollars and 20 cents on the same drug. Walmart just carries some generic drug that is insanely cheaper; in fact, I bet walmart is filled to the brim with generic drugs. And while they perform just as well as brand name, it wouldn't hurt to stock a few would it?
Wait, it would. It'd hurt Walmart's deep pockets.
You should check and see if Target and Walmart are in fact giving the same drug. Just because the prescription says benadryl doesn't mean you're actually getting it.
Fun facts: most of the time you're getting generic drugs (when available) unless your doctor specifically states so. ALL pharmacies are full to the brim with generic drugs. (Side note: that's one of the reasons that drugs cost so much before they become generic. The company that spent all the resources has to recoup it's costs, and provide funding for new research. Not so with generic drugs.) Although Target and Walmart may be selling the same generic drug, Walmart (due to economies of scale) is able to negoiate a lower wholsale cost of that same drug.
ProTip: Have a clue before you degrade big evil corporations. They may not be as evil as you imagine that they are. And their shoppers just may be smarter than you.
