1080i is the same as 720p, in other words nothing special.
Look quite cool to me... I download everything in 720p anyway. 80gb is not that much though... still its enough for 18 720p movies.

I believe the extra 5 inches of screen make this quite a different animal to the iRiver
I don't think there are any portable devices with an HD screen.
The article theme seems just a bit ignorant to me. The benefit of 720 or 1080 support is that the files will actually play. The human eye can't distinguish 720 or 1080 detail at those small screen sizes. Anyone with an XBMC who has tried playing a 720p or .264 file will agree that it would be nice to play those files that download automatically instead of having to filter out those downloads or re-download the files.
Looks better than the stupid Archos device. Only wish this would make it to the western hemisphere.
