Samsung's flower-inspired BSP6000 Bluetooth speaker hits FCC
Samsung has a history of pumping out Bluetooth speakers with unorthodox designs, so we can't say we were totally taken off guard when this one popped up in the FCC's database. That said, it's hard not to be a little shocked when checking out a speaker that looks more like a pair of black flowers than an audio maker, but that's exactly what's presented in the BSP6000. This mobile companion not only allows for BT music streaming, but it also pairs with your handset in order to initiate / answer / end calls. Predictably, Sammy threw in a standard 3.5 millimeter auxiliary jack for connecting any other music source, and we're told that it'll work with your BT phone so long as it's within a 30 foot radius. Obviously, there's no mention of a price or release date (though that would be nice of you to find out, FCC), but we'll be sure to keep an eye out for more. Shouldn't be too hard to miss.

If it can play all my N'sync albulms than i'm diff buying this.
But it ain't no lie, baby bye, bye, bye!
bye,bye,bye......*echo*
What happens if you accidentally water them?
then you're an idiot.
Then you are a ttam!
I'll tell you what won't happen: It won't grow.
You could probably go a bit further than flower-inspired speakers as there obviously meant to look like Zantedeschia's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calla_lily)
Not many people at Engadget are botanists, Carl.
Yer, probably should of taken that into account (^_^)
From the Wiki link...
"The Zantedeschia species are very poisonous, capable of killing livestock and children. "All parts of the plant are toxic, and produce irritation and swelling of the mouth and throat, acute vomiting and diarrhoea"

What a strange plant to emulate....
Gilding the lily a little eh Sammy?
FCC approves all kinds of crap these days. I could pass my 12 inch dagger across FCC and request an approval .........i'm sure it'll get approved so long as it has bluetooth and wifi built-in and it can act music streamer and can answer lots of female questions and requests...
Nice use of subtlety!
It's a shame this doesn't work with the iPhone and iPod Touch via A2DP.
I thought the iphone didn't have stereo bluetooth... Mono sound is bad if you are spending this much for some speakers/art. Heck mono sound if you are spending as much as you are for a iphone/itouch. The lack of stereo BT is a let down from apple. (although I did hear that you can unlock stereo BT by jail-breaking your apple phone.)
It's hardly surprising: nothing work with the iPhone or the iPod if it does'nt bring money into S.J. pockets
Aesthetically pleasing but I cant help but think the colour is wrong
Looks like an orchid. Or more awesome - a pitcher plant!
Oh, please... will they at least dance while the music plays? Like back in the 80s?
Only if you buy the sunglasses as well.
Intresting shape, not so sure about the colour...
This should go perfectly with the samsung P3! (probably designed with it in mind)
Sign me up. I'll take five.
I suppose we need a floral arrangements of these to get 7.1 surround...
If geeks had girlfriends, these are the flowers that they would give them on Valentine's day. Nothing says "I love you" like flowers that actually say "I love you" :D.
if geeks had girlfriends, the world would be messed up.
I can totally see myself buying these for my Omnia, or maybe for the Omnia HD that will probably take its place if the price is not outrageous, which I'm afraid it will be.
Dust magnet.
I want to hear how they sound through my speakers, to hear if they are any good. If that makes any sense? It doesn't?
