Video: ZiiLABS demos Android in HD on ZMS-05 processor
ZiiLABS -- that same company that blew up the hype machine with its StemCell Computing initiative at CES -- is making good on its promise to demonstrate Android in HD on its ZMS-05 media-rich processor / development platform. There's not much here that can't be better explained via video than words, so hop on past the break for a look at the (admittedly silky smooth) demonstration.

I was hoping the demo would be on a huge touchscreen HDTV.
Oops, they seem to have a typo at the end there (http://ziilabs.com/technolgy/android.asp). Might be wanting to add an extra 'o'.
All looks so smooth. Why haven't we seen any android phones today.
Aside from the superb video quality, the Android UI itself was choppy and not-so-smooth at all.
But I know the code will have to be modified to support those high resolutions...
BBB!
HD is at least 1280x720. This isn't even close to HD. High res (for a phone), yes.
@chrisk1590: you didn't watch the whole video.
Where are the android phones? Is this event becoming Mobile Windows Congress or what?
I'm wondering too...
More importantly: NO TEGRA PHONES?????????? Looks like HTC doesn't want their Tegra phones to steal thunder from their own Touch Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2 phones...
Well tegra would probably pwn everything else in there so they probably agreed to keep it out. Or perhaps its still in very early beta.
still lags a little around pictures and some menus
